I drew a line in the sand today.

I can't give any details but I'm secretly hugging myself.

Christinayang1 · 20/03/2015 22:43

Good for you

Not especially today, but this week, I forgave

MoominKoalaAndMiniMoom · 20/03/2015 22:43

Enjoy those self hugs, sounds like youve earned them! :)

I have just completed my last practical assessment from uni today. Just 5 essays to write and I'm done!

meandjulio · 20/03/2015 22:44

God, nothing.

I was first to finish dinner.

Oh yes - I managed not to buy an enormous pile of comfort food to eat on the way home. I suppose I could be proud of that.

Salmotrutta · 20/03/2015 22:46

Flowers and StarStar to you all!

I rekindled an old uni friendship with someone who coincidentally had a DD at the same time as I did. Haven't seen each other for years, but I've let bygones be bygones, and it was bloody lovely having a catch up and reminisce.

TheFairyCaravan · 20/03/2015 22:48

Sent my mother flowers. I've not spoken to her for almost four years but my dad has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer, he is having a scan on Sunday to see if it has spread (at the moment he is in the "keep an eye" group) and she is finding it hard to deal with it. I just wanted to let her know she's not on her own.

BallsforEarrings · 20/03/2015 22:48

Didn't hire a hitman or put a brick through ex husbands window despite him goading and upsetting my dc!

HSMMaCM · 20/03/2015 22:49

I helped an old lady in a shop the other day and realised it's a long time since I've done something like that and she was so happy about it.

Stopped to chat to a man gardening today and he was clearly pleased with the company. I'm definitely going to make more of an effort.

MillieMagnolia · 20/03/2015 22:49

Pride comes before a fall they say.

weebarra · 20/03/2015 22:50

Got through with minimal shouting. I have a 7, 4 and 1.5 year old. This time last year I was being treated for stage 3 breast cancer.
Today I did school runs, shopping, lunch at a friends, swimming lessons, dinner and bed.I love feeling human again.

Wadingthroughsoup · 20/03/2015 22:52

Awwww, these are lovely.

Today, I have reached day 7 without a cigarette. I am using an e-cig but even so, this is a big achievement for me. Smile

pollypocket123 · 20/03/2015 22:53

Taught my lovely class about solar eclipses, column addition and poetry writing and they all had a great day! Smile

IamMummyhearmeROAR · 20/03/2015 22:55

Ran 5k. I'm middle aged and overweight. But I ran 5k,some of it uphill and next week I'll run 6k just to prove I can.

YaTalkinToMe · 20/03/2015 22:55

Today I have passed 3 weeks no smoking which is the longest I have done, and did 2 classed at the gym.

CallMeExhausted · 20/03/2015 22:56

I survived. This week, that is an accomplishment.

Next week will be better, I am counting on it.

Salmotrutta · 20/03/2015 22:56

These are all so lovely!!

MillieMagnolia - I'm talking about small personal triumphs. Don't be grumpy, that's not nice.

I've helped my DS who had a tough day at school today being picked on. We are working together on his self esteem and coping strategies. I try to be his rock.

Billabong21 · 20/03/2015 22:58

FairyCaravan, Xxx.
You won't EVER regret that.
I just wished and I WISH it EVERY DAY, that I'd done that.

Postchildrenpregranny · 20/03/2015 23:00

Cleaned house from top to bottom (have neglected in favour of the garden lately) . Resisted a glass of wine in the bath-I have not drunk alcohol for seven weeks tomorrow, when I am 'allowed' to start again (on holiday next week) Really wanted it to be a full seven weeks, but really wanted that wine too!

ARoomWithoutAView · 20/03/2015 23:00

Allowed someone to reduce their hours by one day a week, to follow their dreams.
Drank water all day.
Transferred money saved since Christmas into an ISA.
Bought DP a scratch card (its Friday) - they won £50!

Salmotrutta · 20/03/2015 23:01

Fairy and Billabong - my good wishes to you both.

today... Nothing!
I took my kitchen to bits... Confused

MrsMargoLeadbetter · 20/03/2015 23:02

I offered to help a new friend with something and she was clearly touched.

I picked up the lovely egg free cake I'd ordered on behalf of a group of us for a friend's 40th. It looks fab. Proud and pleased we made the effort to order it etc.

Nice thread.

HandMini · 20/03/2015 23:05

Didn't pig out at all today, but saved cals for a lovely curry with an old friend tonight.

Drank some water.

Put some of my problems in perspective while waiting for the train today and felt so much better as a result.
