To feel like shoving my sister's lasagne up her behind!

My sister made a freezable lasagne for my ds's birthday party but unfortunately we had to cancel the party twice due to DS being poorly. Now my sister has said that as we aren't having a party now she wants it back.

Is it me or is this a bit mean? I know it cost her a bit to make but hopefully not that much and we did originally offer to cover the cost of the ingredients but she refused. If the situation was reversed I would feel so sorry for her having to cancel a child's birthday party I wouldn't even think to ask for something back that I had made!! Especially with family - but am I expecting too much?!

Sounds like a conditional gift.
Yes, shove it up her behind.

Yay4may · 22/02/2015 23:14

Another vote for behind

Tubbytimmy · 22/02/2015 23:15

Yanbu your sister is odd for asking to have it back.

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 22/02/2015 23:15

!!

Yes, do it. And don't defrost it first.

FirstWeTakeManhattan · 22/02/2015 23:15

YANBU. Unless she has nothing else to eat in the house, that's just staggeringly mean spirited.

Only1scoop · 22/02/2015 23:16

Yanbu

Blimey I'm cringing for her Confused

NoArmaniNoPunani · 22/02/2015 23:16

Tell her you ate it

MyIronLung · 22/02/2015 23:16

Another vote for the behind. Do make sure you cook it so its extra hot first Grin

molyholy · 22/02/2015 23:16

Unless she is on the bones of her arse I cannot imagine why she would ask for it back. Is there not more of a backstory? How old is ds? Lasagne is not a dish I would serve at a kids party.

WiggleGinger · 22/02/2015 23:17

She would get along well with my sister!
Tell her to stick it

Bogeyface · 22/02/2015 23:17

Give it her back, but pick your nose and wipe it on there first Wink

steff13 · 22/02/2015 23:18

It's pretty weird to ask for it back.

ARoomWithoutAView · 22/02/2015 23:18

Just run a metal detector over it first, in case she has lost one of her rings.

Springcleanish · 22/02/2015 23:18

Can't you just invite her round, make a pudding and have it as a belated family meal for your DS? Sounds a bit trivial to fall out about TBH.

LineRunner · 22/02/2015 23:18

How much did it cost? A fiver?

Or is it some industrial sized version to feed 20?

molyholy · 22/02/2015 23:18

OR. Or you could shove it up her ass Smile

ARoomWithoutAView · 22/02/2015 23:20

molyholy the OP did not wish to shove it up her sister's donkey, just her arse.

honeyroar · 22/02/2015 23:21

I agree with Springcleanish, invite the family round to eat it and have a small family birthday cake or something.

pregnantpause · 22/02/2015 23:22

Up the arse it is. There are no other reasonable options. Ywbu to put the lasagne anywhere but her arse IMO

TSSDNCOP · 22/02/2015 23:23

Eat it. Then shove it out your own behind.

ARoomWithoutAView · 22/02/2015 23:25

Just to be clear, did sis give you a garlic bread as well?

molyholy · 22/02/2015 23:26

Haha Aroom. Just being lazy but you're right. Shove it up her arse Grin

Staywithme · 22/02/2015 23:26

Hahahahahahaha Grin

Are you sure you're not one if my sils? Make sure you let the dog give it a good lick first!

My DH and I used to have fab barbecues but got fed up with his family starting to put in requests for certain things, such as specific drinks and particular brands of food. His wee mummy would turn up with flowers and a small gift then a couple of sils would arrive, empty handed, and ask if we got them the products they asked for. We had enough when two helped themselves to the hand made vegan chocolate sweets I'd made and hidden in the fridge (they had no need to be in that fridge) and we realised that another one had taken home a load of the uncooked food.

MrsNuckyThompson · 22/02/2015 23:27

I honestly can't believe she's asked for it back! All I can think is that somehow she made it so that she (and more specifically, her lasagne) could be star of the show.

Shove it right up thereConfused

This is what I would do as well, but I would be a bit Hmm if she asked for it back.
