Wow. Selling for 10 a pair! Can't believe somebody has actually bid for that. Maybe there is money in it!

CaptainAnkles · 19/02/2015 13:39

Yes, you probably could because there are some funny folk in the world. I don't think I like the idea of someone wanking into an old pair of my slippers, so it's not something I've done thus far.

SoonToBeMrsB · 19/02/2015 13:42

Someone is selling old laddered tights?! Shock

BreconBeBuggered · 19/02/2015 13:43

I am tempted to do this kind of thing every January, lying in bed at night trying to work out what I can sell. I only have books, which nobody wants, things I actually need, and manky stuff that might appeal to niche fetishists. Who am I to deny some poor perv the pleasure of a holey stocking or a worn-out bra? One of these days, I just might give in to it.

DuelingFanjo · 19/02/2015 13:48

I have just cleared out a load of old shoes as part of my 40 bags in 40 days clear-out. The only thing stopping me putting them on ebay is the need to get them out of the house quickly. It's tempting though.

dueling- wouldn't you mind your kids shoes being brought by a perv?

DuelingFanjo · 19/02/2015 13:57

I wouldn't be selling my kids shoes.

OP posts:
DuelingFanjo · 19/02/2015 13:58

I am wondering if that was a serious comment though? It's a bit Brass Eye.

No one's talking about kids shoes you bloody weirdo.

DuelingFanjo · 19/02/2015 14:00

if a 'pervert' was into kids shoes he could buy them from the many people selling kids shoes on ebay.

Had the strangest selling experience via gumtree. Sold some thomas the tank engines. Man arrived to pick it up. On seeing my feet without slippers after he bought the trains he got down on his hands and knees and sniffed my feet. I was shocked so didnt move. Luckily we moved two weeks later but i was very nervous coming home for those two weeks and havent put anything on gumtree since......

sovery but then the shoe fetishist would be seen scouring the local charity shops. presumably they'd rather keep it a secret.

TheMoralAlleyCat · 19/02/2015 14:10

My understanding is that there is more going on behind the scenes of these listings

Really, those are being sold to people other than because they need a pair of shoes? I feel quite ill.

My first experience of selling on ebay was when Dh and I both lost our jobs in the same week. In order to make me feel just a little bit in control of the situation I cleared out all our cupboards and listed a load of old tatt. I did rather well....especially on shoes.

I went into work (working notice) and told everyone how pleased I was with what my old shoes were fetching too Blush

BigStripeyBastard · 19/02/2015 14:19

More going on?
Come on, enlighten the uninitiated......

Bloke's trainers too, and work boots. More trashed the better.

I've actually sold a few of mine over the years. Got £60 for worn out old rigger boots! Weird, but harmless fetish I guess. It's worth a punt you know; there's a fortune to be had from stuff you'd chuck in the bin!

CavalierQueenCharlotte · 19/02/2015 14:20

I have a friend who gets more than 300 quid a go for her worn out BA cabin crew shoes. There are online dealers...

Hovis2001 · 19/02/2015 14:25

Mumsnet: you learn a new thing every day.

I had a pair of those lacy ballet pumps in white - they were, I think a tenner from Primary new... Hmm
