Hmm, I wonder how much pent-up demand there really is for this? meglet makes a good point about why the fetishist might do this, but it looks like a buyer's market! I restricted my "worn shoes" search to completed listings, and the most recent ones were all trying to appear new, rather than "trashed" (that is, I couldn't find any sales which are only attributable to foot fetishism).

I wonder how much eBay makes on listing fees for unsold items in categories like (unwitting) fetish gear?

Cariad007 · 19/02/2015 14:26

Damn, I got rid of a lot of pairs of sexy high heels a while - if only I'd thought of this then I could've made money out of them!

pluCaChange · 19/02/2015 14:28

X-posted!

perhaps I ought to have searched for "well worn" or "trashed" shoes? Off to check...

pluCaChange · 19/02/2015 14:30

Aha! "Trashed" is the key word! As is having a picture of the shoes being worn. Shock

RandomNPC · 19/02/2015 14:32

There's worse, there's a market for old, used pants.

Mousefinkle · 19/02/2015 15:05

Ha! I found these exact shoes when I was browsing through ebay a few days ago. Then I got curious and found there's quite the market for 'well worn shoes', most women take a picture of their feet in said shoes some of which are quite suggestive iykwim so must be a fetish thing.

I tried justifying it at first thinking some people might prefer worn in shoes because new ones rub their feet. I know my feet are generally horrid with new shoes so I'd quite like someone to wear them in a bit for me first Grin. But no, no one would spend £10 on shoes that are literally falling apart unless there's something more to it...

ravenAK · 19/02/2015 15:10

I have been reliably informed that as a goth chick with size 9 feet, my knackered old boots could be a bloody goldmine...Grin.

I am slightly put off by the fact that I have a good mate who spends worrying amounts of time scouring ebay for weirdness & posting her finds on FB. She'd be bound to find out what I was up to & that would be highly embarrassing!

Nurses' shoes do well too, apparently.

VivaLeBeaver · 19/02/2015 15:13

Oooh, I have lots of my old, worn nurses shoes.

Stratter5 · 19/02/2015 15:43

I'm seriously considering the drawerful of used, rather nice underwear I can't fit into don't want any more.

pluCaChange · 19/02/2015 16:04

Do the pants also have to be photographed... er... in situ? What's the convention?

DuelingFanjo · 19/02/2015 16:32

I am a size 7 - maybe that is large enough to attract the right kind of buyer ahem.

I'm a skint writer and am seriously considering writing porn about sock fetishes to sell on kindle.

singleandfabulous · 19/02/2015 16:50

I sell all my old shoes on Ebay. People some men pay a fortune for them because I take an 8 big feet

I recently got rid of quite a few peep toes/high heels/sling-backs etc. from my party girls days and made a mint.

Men wearing womens' shoes is huge right now.

Davila1904 · 19/02/2015 17:11

I sell my boyfriends snickers work pants on eBay , they are well used covered in silicone and totally wrecked , they usually sell ok.
It goes towards the cost of new ones ??

Flossyfloof · 19/02/2015 17:13

I am only a size 3 do you think it is worth putting mine on EBay?

cheesynachtoes · 19/02/2015 17:29

Uggghh, she even advertising the fact that they have got huge holes in the soles, what use would that be...oh no wait a minute Confused

changeychangechangeychange · 19/02/2015 17:31

Do you really want these people to have your name, address and phone number? if so go ahead and sell your old shoes.

ILovePud · 19/02/2015 17:35

A friend of a friend did this, apparently she stumbled on to it through non kinky listings of her old shoes. I think the buyers were looking for contacts and live action follow up though!

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 19/02/2015 17:42

Confused Shock

If only someone was into used cat litter - my god I'd be minted within a month! Grin

...actually scratch that - I really don't want to know if such person/s exist [boak]

SurlyCue · 19/02/2015 17:51

You cant get a buyer for pretty much anything if you look in the right places.

I have an "acquaintance" who makes a tidy profit from selling cheap primark knickers with a smearing of egg whites in the gusset.

LividofLondinium · 19/02/2015 18:07

There's also someone selling used running leggings. Her listings tend to have a certain style Wink

Oldraver · 19/02/2015 18:10

I recently searched for some M+S socks....and come across the Fetish stuff...They are usually soiled socks with a pointy toes inward pose

TinLizzie · 19/02/2015 18:12

But has anyone looked at the 'sold' listings from the OPs original post? The person selling the manky shoes has also sold a couple of empty Doritos bags! WTF?

If I didn't have 'normal' people following me on ebay, I'd have some fun I think, but I have repeat customers so I'd just be too embarrassed! Tempting though...

SurlyCue · 19/02/2015 18:15

Apparently used hair bobbles are an easy couple of £ too Wink

SurlyCue · 19/02/2015 18:17

Tinlizzie there are other sites better suited to selling items for 'alternative' purposes if you wanted to.
