Listening to LBC today and lots of people where saying she did nothing racist saying "you guys used to be slaves". I'm glad the police are taking this seriously. Warning offensive video

well you whites would know about disgusting lynch mobs

Sweeping generalisation aout race - check.
Nasty connotatons of said sweeping generalisation - check.

You don't see it? You really don't see what you did?

I'm white. Am I one of the whites that, through my racial history, was complicit in lynching? (because you of the word 'would' is very telling)

creighton · 18/02/2015 20:37

do you know what she said to him before filming started? are you able to say that his anger was unjustified. I am surprised that you are all so protective of her when she does not need your protection, she was enjoying herself, she was not frightened of anyone on that train

Tsoukalosy · 18/02/2015 20:39

How do you know whst she felt? Maybe it was bravado masking her fear for all you know.

BoneyBackJefferson · 18/02/2015 20:39

creighton

Where is your critique of his behaviour which started long before any comments about slavery?

Your language is also telling
"poor little white woman"
"You people"
"You whites"

racism in action.

GraysAnalogy · 18/02/2015 20:40

I was going to report creighton's posts but think it's more valuable for people to see the racists among us.

Shame, coz I do love your namesake.

creighton · 18/02/2015 20:40

no she wasn't afraid even though the scary black man was angry with her

MaidOfStars · 18/02/2015 20:41

According to repors, she said 'Don't touch me'.

Is that racist? Does that justify his abuse, his namecalling, his threatening and intimidating racist behaviour.

You still haven't answered my question either, but now's the right time for a prompt.

What did she do, before mentioning slavery, that warranted the attack?

Tsoukalosy · 18/02/2015 20:43

creighton honestly where have you crawled from? Your language is shocking in this day and age but you don't see the irony in your racism? Thats blinding.

MaidOfStars · 18/02/2015 20:44

How do you know she wasn't afraid?

Although you're right about him being a scary black man. Can't argue with those two adjectives.

creighton · 18/02/2015 20:44

I know you won't believe this but black men don't launch into random arguments with white women as they know that they will get the blame whoever starts the argument. why are you all so hell bent on believing that she is a poor put upon dear? she is not

TheChandler · 18/02/2015 20:44

Creighton do you know what she said to him before filming started?

Do you? The evidence indicates that he had just got on the train, and touched her by jostling her. Possibly deliberately. Possibly accidentally. Its the job of the police to investigate that. Not you. Not I.

You, on the other hand, are trying to do what the man in the video did - provoke a reaction. You don't really fool anyone.

Your comments about "arrogant white women" are very racist, and by far the most racist remarks on this thread. You have attempted to write off an entire continent's female population, because you perceive them as arrogant.

Not men. There is of course no evidence that white men are any less arrogant than white women, nor that white people are more or less arrogant than any other race - it is unquantifiable, and on its own, a person can be as little or as much arrogant as they choose.

Of course, if this woman had been British, you would have been using it as an excuse to say that all British women are racist.

You try to justify it by saying she should have kept quiet - the little white woman should have sat in the corner quietly. Well, if you think that's going to work, you are living on another planet.

TheChandler · 18/02/2015 20:46

Creighton I know you won't believe this but black men don't launch into random arguments with white women as they know that they will get the blame whoever starts the argument.

Can I just point out that I don't think anyone in their right minds is comfortable with this racist stereotyping.

Really, really offensive. You have no idea what race or nationality the posters on this thread are and are making assumptions which belong to yourself alone.

You are simply trying to provoke someone on this thread into making a racist statement. You really are trying very hard, aren't you?

Tsoukalosy · 18/02/2015 20:47

creighton is terrifying. She seems like one of those people who are constantly trying to erradicate my race (i.e racist thugs). White people did that too my people. So did none white people. I do not have a chip on my shoulder about that but she clearly does.

creighton · 18/02/2015 20:47

no one knows what she did as it is not shown on the film but all of you assume that he is the aggressor. how do you know that he wasn't offended at the way she spoke to him? is he not allowed to take offence, is he supposed to accept anything a white woman says to him?

TheChandler · 18/02/2015 20:48

Gray's I was going to report creighton's posts but think it's more valuable for people to see the racists among us.

True. Although I suspect in truth he/she is sexist, rather than racist. Racism is just a convenient excuse for his/her sexism.

MaidOfStars · 18/02/2015 20:48

I know you won't believe this but black men don't launch into random arguments with white women as they know that they will get the blame whoever starts the argument

And yet here is a black man who started a random argument with a white woman. I'd be inclined to believe your general point but it's rather odd that the situation we are discussing entails exactly what you say it couldn't (if reports are accurate).

GraysAnalogy · 18/02/2015 20:50

I know you won't believe this but black men don't launch into random arguments with white women as they know that they will get the blame whoever starts the argument

Really Hmm you speak for all black men do you?

MaidOfStars · 18/02/2015 20:51

The man in question says on the video that 'she said 'Don't touch me' '.

TheChandler · 18/02/2015 20:54

Creighton TheChandler, what in god's name do you know about being on the receiving end of racism? I am a woman, I just don't pander to 'poor little white women' who take the trouble to abuse people using their 'history' when it is clear that she knows nothing about them or their history. she sees a black man and presumes to lecture him about his history. all black people are not the same, all black people do not have the same history

well, let me see, the people commenting on this thread aren't exactly the brains of Britain are they?

What makes you think I am (a) white (b) British and (c) In Britain?

Because I'm not (all of those three). But that's irrelevant. I don't discriminate on grounds of race or nationality, or treat people differently, or make ignorant sweeping statements about them.

Does anyone actually notice what race a person is at all any more? When you are doing things like travelling on public transport? Or at work? Or at training? You really don't know what you are talking about Creighton. What a fool you are making of yourself.

MaidOfStars · 18/02/2015 20:54

how do you know that he wasn't offended at the way she spoke to him?
Maybe he was.

is he not allowed to take offence
Of course he is.

None of that means he is allowed to accuse her of racism, to bully her, to shout and rant.

is he supposed to accept anything a white woman says to him?
Frankly, as a man, if a woman says 'Don't touch me', he'd do well to listen. (Of course, that applies to anyone telling anyone else the same).

creighton · 18/02/2015 20:58

what can I say? we are back to the chip on the shoulder, which obviously is not racist.

my family is from the Caribbean, we have been the subject of extreme abuse from all kinds of people. I am not aware that the mixed race people of the Caribbean have tried to eradicate anyone. we were kept prisoner on the islands for 400 years and abused.

as for the poor white woman sitting quietly in the corner, I have never come across one who has done that.

I am not trying to provoke anything but the reaction of the posters here is the usual one when a black person challenges you on a thread about racism
-you are the real racist
-you have a chip on your shoulder
-are you on crack
-I am considering reporting you

If I give the impression that I think white people/women/men are arrogant it is because that is what I experience living as a black woman surrounded by 60 million white people who won't accept any criticism of themselves.

Tsoukalosy · 18/02/2015 21:01

as for the poor white woman sitting quietly in the corner, I have never come across one who has done that.*.

Oh the humanity.

Tsoukalosy · 18/02/2015 21:04

Did I specify particiular people? Nope fairly sure i said white and none white people for various different ethnicities. I do not hold anything against anyone.

TheChandler · 18/02/2015 21:06

Creighton we are back to the chip on the shoulder, which obviously is not racist

It sounds more like we aren't saying what you want us to say. And that you would very much like to provoke us into doing so, but have failed.

Nothing to do with your race, your background (which you have obviously now mentioned in great detail to draw even more attention to yourself). You're not the only black woman in Britain. Get over yourself. Maybe these things at least partly happen to you because you're rude, obsessed and unpleasant?

No-one's interested in what race you are. I don't go around proclaiming my racial mix - no-one's interested. You are a person, just like any other person.

You are racist though. Your comments about arrogant white women was the most racist statement I have read on here. Apart from the racist statements, I really hate the way you constantly try and create racial issues and divisions out of everything.

candidkate · 18/02/2015 21:09

I'm sick and tired of people jumping on every opportunity to say things arentabout race like that makes it go away, or like colored people like to play victims. Who on earth, born in a country that they have worked and lives in their entire lives wants to constantly be reminded that they a different, untrustworthy, or less intelligent by people like this women. When a someone has to pull the "race card" its NOT FUN. It's not a party trick or a reflex. Funny how people are allowed to have every other type of instinct other than the instinct of that someone doesn't like them because pf their race.

We can instinctively know if someone doesn't like women, or if someone doesn't like your child running around on the tube, or if someone doesn't like you breast feeding in public, but when the racism instinct kicks in - its instantly void, null and you are over reacting.

Perhaps he did make an assumption, but she proved him right with the filth that came out of her mouth afterwards. I'm appalled by the amount of people on her saying she was aggravated or that he started it. Call him a dikhead, call him a scumbag, but if you bring his race into it - you are RACIST.

Its okay to be angry, its okay to be annoyed, its not okay to be racist. sorry.
