8 days overdue with DC1 can't stop crying, just been reminded of my Grandad who passed away 2 years ago and really need a hug. DH not home from work yet and have the worst period type pains which can't be contractions because they don't come and go.
cry...sniffle...cry

I bet he/she will be here by tomorrow afternoon.

Every time I had a bloody show I went straight into labour. I hope you are the same.

Rosieliveson · 07/02/2015 22:22

Oh MrsCK, how absolutely exciting (and terrifying!!)
Hope you're all started up again and that beautiful bundle is snuggled up with his/her mum!

engeika · 07/02/2015 23:17

FWIW my first labour was very drawn out. Waters broke Mon night. DD born Sat evening. Labour started and stopped. I walked for miles. I popped in to the hospital every day but they didn't keep me in. It does happen.

Good luck OP

BlackeyedSusan · 08/02/2015 01:13

ahh, my first was loads of fucking about with light contractions, got sent home from hospital as the regular contractions stopped at the sodding door. when I did get going though, it went rather fast for a first baby. non of this centimetre every two hours or whatever it is. oh no.

MrsCK · 08/02/2015 05:36

Waters went last night followed by strong contractions starting up in hospital. currently sat on birthing ball wired up to tens at home nearly ready to go in.

Ah, sometimes there are advantages to waking up in need of a pee pee--I get to see breaking news!

Remember to breathe. How exciting. :)

MrsCK · 08/02/2015 05:48

I couldn't even make it up....when my waters broke last night they asked me to go in to get checked and our car battery had died. Cue neighbour bringing car round only to find jump leads had broken. Our neighbour has been transporting us all night.....he's such a saint!
