To feel upset, emotional and frustrated?

8 days overdue with DC1 can't stop crying, just been reminded of my Grandad who passed away 2 years ago and really need a hug. DH not home from work yet and have the worst period type pains which can't be contractions because they don't come and go.

My pfb is a big hairy student who turned 20 a few weeks ago but it still seems like yesterday he was snuggled in my arms.

Congratulations! Last time I gave birth I went to hospital later than I would have liked thanks to stupid late DH. Midwife told me I was only 2cm, I was making a big fuss and I could go home or walk around. Twenty minutes later DD2 shot out like a rocket on the antenatal ward. I still had my bloody trousers on because they'd made me get dressed again.

BTW FightOrFlight Thanks for support re birth worries. These threads always help mentally prepare me for what's ahead. Appreciate the honesty of some of the experiences posted here :)
