To feel upset, emotional and frustrated?

8 days overdue with DC1 can't stop crying, just been reminded of my Grandad who passed away 2 years ago and really need a hug. DH not home from work yet and have the worst period type pains which can't be contractions because they don't come and go.

Ah, that's a shame, I've been wondering how you were getting on. These things take time, so don't get too frustrated with yourself.

Maybe put some really sad films on today and see if some more tears help get the contractions going again.

If you feel up to it a walk can also be great for getting things going.

Are they going to induce you soon? is it still 10 day overdue that they usually do that? I was booked in for an induction with three of mine at 40+10 but each time I went into about naturally just before my admission time after the babysitter arrived to the take others.

It must be frustrating for you OP, I hope everything starts again soon!

I think it's 12 days over that they induce you, I had my induction booked for 12 days over and went into labour by myself at 10 days.

I find it strange that you were 4cm nearly 24 hrs ago, and they a, let you go, and b, haven't had you back to monitor baby..?

I was 2-3 24 hours ago which is why I wasn't kept in. Do you think I should phone in to say it's all stopped or is it normal?

When I was in labour a few years ago I was 4 cm and they sent me home twice. And didn't feel need to monitor baby. I was exhausted after two nights so opted for oxytocin and epidural, which was perfect for me after a few nights.
Hope you get the birth you want.

cinders I find it odd you are suspicious but that's absolutely your prerogative. I have only been posting what has been happening as a FTM I've never done this before and no idea what to expect therefore all advice and ears have been greatfully received.

So...started to get lower backache again and had a bloody show which I am seeing as really positive! my mw said induction would be Tuesday if I last until then. that was when I saw her last week though but I'm desperate to avoid induction if possible!
