8 days overdue with DC1 can't stop crying, just been reminded of my Grandad who passed away 2 years ago and really need a hug. DH not home from work yet and have the worst period type pains which can't be contractions because they don't come and go.

owww I think it might be a while. contractions only really get going when I'm laying down...going to try and get some more sleep. would feel like a right donkey if I turned up at the hospital without having made any progress at all!

Hm, I missed something--did you go to hospital and get sent back? Otherwise how would you know dilation? Never mind, my imagi action is getting the better of me.

FWIW MrsCK I was in labour for 7 hours without realising it. Just thought it was incredibly bad back pain! You could be delivering sooner than you think [grin}

You said earlier you were 4cm dilated hence me thinking 9.30pm seemed like a good bet. Not my evening, I lost the baby prediction stakes and Wales lost the rugby < grr >
