Bahaha! Yes I totally care about piling on products and looking like some western ideal standard of beauty over being intelligent, kind and environmentally conscious. Most days it's all I can think about.

Naicecuppatea · 03/02/2015 11:33

Maybe just go that step further and add in some eyelash extensions and some hair extensions and some pretend nails......no woman should be without them

Bowlersarm · 03/02/2015 11:33

Tis a bit of a "no shit, sherlock" thread. Yes Beyond.

I had some sympathy with you on Sunday, op, but not today, oh no. What a silly thread. Truly baffling.

LillyEvans · 03/02/2015 11:34

Mrsmorton

OP, you are a bellend.

Lol.

glasgowlass · 03/02/2015 11:34

I don't wear make up. Even on a night out. Perhaps I should just wear a paper bag over my head then OP? You know, just so I look better....

SaucyJack · 03/02/2015 11:36

TBF hedgehog- you can be intelligent, kind and environmentally conscious and wear mascara y'know. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Purplepumpkins · 03/02/2015 11:36

I'm a nanny I look after a 10 week old baby, make up is the last thing I need to be bothering with!!

PetulaGordino · 03/02/2015 11:37

when you say people, do you mean men as well as women?

magicpixie · 03/02/2015 11:37

I don't even do this myself
still think it thoughWink

What about "Wouldn't 99% of ppl look better if they kept to an optimum BMI" "Wouldn't ppl look better if they dyed any grey hairs" "Wouldn't ppl look better if they wore "nice" clothes"
All equally daft as the OPs assertion.

Thehedgehogsong · 03/02/2015 11:41

jack that depends on where your mascara is from...

ouryve · 03/02/2015 11:42

YABU.

I look perfectly healthy without painting myself, TYVM.

SummerHouse · 03/02/2015 11:43

Honeydragon and merrylegs, thank you for your comments. Its a long time since I laughed so much. And op thank you for this thread. I totally agree. When I make the extra effort it never goes unnoticed. People are always saying "wow you look fantastic!.. But why is DS 2 naked."

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 03/02/2015 11:44

99% of people would look better if they got enough sleep
99% of people would look better if they had unlimited funds to spend on clothes
99% of people would look better if i took off my glasses

Goneintohibernation · 03/02/2015 11:44

That would be better in your opinion OP. The trouble is that everyone has a different view of what looks better. I personally prefer peoples faces, just as they are, without stuff painted on.

magicpixie · 03/02/2015 11:45

lol that dog is hilarious
love it Grin

To humans yes, but certainly not towards animals.

ouryve · 03/02/2015 11:48

Honeydragon :o

Beyond I look amazing when I take off my glasses. Every little crinkle and zit just gone! :o

SummerHouse · 03/02/2015 11:48

To be fair we need the 'before' picture to judge if the dog is indeed proof that everyone looks better as fine is he obviously looks.

DamselNotInHerDress · 03/02/2015 11:49

That's funny, I was thinking earlier that a lot of people I know would look 'better' without crayon over their eyes and cheeks. I hate makeup and when I see people wear it I usually wonder what they look like without it.

I'm confident enough in my own skin to not need a mask on, not worried about covering up blemishes or imperfections. I believe it's okay to not look airbrushed and groomed at all times.

'Better' is very subjective. I think people look 'better' when not covering their natural looks. You think people look 'better' when they hide their imperfections.

magicpixie · 03/02/2015 11:51

damsel none of these thing hide anything
im not talking about full make up

just make you look more wake etc

Flingingmelon · 03/02/2015 11:53

Summerhouse - exactly! Grin

DropYourSword · 03/02/2015 11:55

Well, I guess I was wrong after all about tinted moisturiser. You can't see a single blemish on that dog.
