It's not about the time, it's about not giving a shit. HTH.

BauerTime · 03/02/2015 13:38

OP are you actually READING any of the responses before you type another post? Doesn't sound like it.

OnlyLovers · 03/02/2015 13:39

Give it up, pixie. Some people don't give a monkey's about make-up whether it takes minutes or hours.

laughingmyarseoff · 03/02/2015 13:39

YABU I'd look like an acne riddled zombie without a lot more than just that these days.

Tinted moisturiser is crap, it makes a lot of faces look greasy with no powder on top to absorb and with shiny lips...you'd just look greasy all over. Natural mascara, what's the point? Either wear actual or go without.

My friend smokes and does drugs, she looks 20 ears older, haggard and grey faced despite putting on make-up. There's some things make-up can't do and being healthy isn't always easy to fake, especially if someone is ill. Faces always show illness first, most people just ask 'are you tired' instead of 'you look like death warmed up'. Add to that some people look better without make-up and really don't need it.

99% of people look and smell the best when they've cleaned their teeth, sadly from both commuting and interviewing I've noticed a lot don't agree!

redcaryellowcar · 03/02/2015 13:40

I am a lost cause but do look a smidge better with a bit of tinted moisturiser and some lip balm! My dsis buys me this kind of thing for Christmas! I think whilst people might look better with a bit of make up it doesn't however mean they ought to, nor should anyone feel it's a good idea to tell them.

My skin looks bloody fantastic after an hour of yoga or a half hour run. Far more enjoyable way to get more youthful glowing skin.
It does however play havoc with the mascara so I don't bother :)

Couldn't care less if a random stranger in the street thinks i'd look more awake and healthy with a painted face.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 03/02/2015 13:47

By the time I have put on enough make up to have any effect on my Dot Cottonesque face I look more like a man in drag.
And ds won't stay still for me to get his mascara on.

WoTmania · 03/02/2015 13:48

YAB very very U as it happens. I think if less people wore any make-up we'd get used to how people really look which would be entirely to the good. No one says this about men do they? I don't want to spend an extra 3 mins putting crap on my face and eyes etc. Quite happy to get up, wash and then occasionally also drag a brush through my hair (which is thick and glossy because I don't use shampoo or conditioner).

YoullLikeItNotaLot · 03/02/2015 13:50

YANBU.

AbbeyBartlet · 03/02/2015 13:51

Possible OP but as I can't see myself without looking in a mirror, its not really my problem! And I cba pissing about with make up just for the sake of other people!

AbbeyBartlet · 03/02/2015 13:52

And I am fortunate enough to have good skin, but as long as I am showered, my hair has been washed and my clothes are clean, I don't really give a toss!

Sallystyle · 03/02/2015 13:53

I need much more make up than that to look good alive

I love men in well applied subtle make up.

PavlovtheCat · 03/02/2015 13:55

YABU. 99% of people look fine As They Are.

Stratter5 · 03/02/2015 13:55

I could.

But I can't be bothered, and I honestly don't think the dogs would notice. I know the cats won't, 2 of them are permanently asleep, and the third is more interested in busting open the fridge.

Oldraver · 03/02/2015 13:56

Yea I've just been looking at OH and thought he was looking a bit pale, maybe I should send him off to Boots....

ourglass · 03/02/2015 13:56

You are completely unreasonable, and a twat, but you know that.

Stratter5 · 03/02/2015 13:59

Ah, I just asked the ferrets, and they say it's shameful that I get the post in bare-faced. :(

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/02/2015 14:00

Funnily enough I don't give a rats arse what I look like as long as I'm clean and vaguely tidy. After all it's everyone else's problem, not mine.

SomewhereIBelong · 03/02/2015 14:07

I'm currently going through the sweats stage of the menopause.... it all slides off so I go with the wet rosy glow look.... nobody cares....

merrymouse · 03/02/2015 14:08

Agree with museumum - the best way to look healthier and more alive is to do some exercise. A good night's sleep and a laugh can also work wonders.

If you can achieve these three things on a regular basis you probably won't care whether other people think you are groomed.

magicpixie · 03/02/2015 14:15

if I cared that much I would do this myself, but I don't
I can't be bothered

I think it's terribly terribly important.

I've written to dear Boutros Boutros Ghali and asked him to address it forthwith.
