Should have cleaner/tidier houses seeing as they don't work? I'm a sahm with severe disabilities (supported by dh - no hand outs) & I keep my house clean.

Ps this isn't just about people on benefits - it just so happens I'm watching it on TV now.

A lot of schools run schemes where parents can buy iPads or laptops in instalments, btw.

So sorry. Between 329 and 579 accessing to Safari. Still far in excess of the alternatives and unnecessary.

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 29/01/2015 21:13

Nerf how about preowned. It does have to be new.

Probably not pertinent to this thread at all but I have to say...
I have a flat-screen TV
I have an iPad
I have an iPhone
I have a laptop
I have all sorts of fucking things I don't need. I bought them when I was affluent, in fabulous paid employment and feeling good. I bought them when I could afford them and paid for them in full.

Then it all went tits up. I landed on benefits for a couple of months, was homeless- managed to get temporary accommodation- and on my bloody arse.

Had you come round to mine during my benefits time and judged me for having these things I'd have had your guts for garters.

I see time and one again on here reference to people on benefits having things and it grinds my gears. I also have a sofa- this cost more than all the other items put together but no-one judges that, do they?

You have a sofa? All I have is an box to sit on.

Thought so. Perhaps you might be happier if you didn't measure your whole life by what others have and the resentment you feel that you're getting a raw deal by comparison.

usualsuspect333 · 29/01/2015 21:18

I'd do gorgeous George when he's looking all serious in the library.

Homepride1 · 29/01/2015 21:20

I get what your saying OP, the single mum of 7 (Claire I think it was) house wasn't actually that untidy but it was bloody filthy, the dirt and grim building up against the kickboard in the kitchen was disgusting that floor clearly hasn't been swept let's alone mopped for years

sebsmummy1 · 29/01/2015 21:21

Had to laugh at 'here come the taxpayers' comment Grin
