Should have cleaner/tidier houses seeing as they don't work? I'm a sahm with severe disabilities (supported by dh - no hand outs) & I keep my house clean.

Ps this isn't just about people on benefits - it just so happens I'm watching it on TV now.

Woah. I don't support the OP's view, but I cannot believe how some posters have reacted to her!

You need to respect other people's opinions.

I think it's fair enough that people get pissed off by these shows - I mean, that's the whole point of them isn't it? And actually, if you're working hard and see people portrayed as having the life of Riley when not working surely people can understand why that's annoying?

I'd love more kids but I know we would struggle financially so I don't think it's unreasonable that I'm somewhat pissed off that other people who don't work have a lot of kids. Is that really so unreasonable? Really? Maybe I shouldn't care but it's human nature isn't it?

usualsuspect333 · 29/01/2015 20:49

Go polish your fucking halo then, Judgey.

davejudgement · 29/01/2015 20:49

Oh, I thought people chose to have children

ChocolateBiscuitCake · 29/01/2015 20:50

Ipad are used in schools as are computers. It would be a huge disadvantage if these children didn't have them.

Exactly - they get to learn to use them at school, so no need to have them at home.

ghostyslovesheep · 29/01/2015 20:50

I bet all those goats make the house quiet mucky

usualsuspect333 · 29/01/2015 20:50

I have no respect for posters who post goady shit on the internet.

You need to respect other peoples opinions.

We do tend to here. Just not goady fuckers.

ilovesooty · 29/01/2015 20:52

I cannot believe how some posters have reacted to her!

Perhaps some of us are all too familiar with her recent threads.

OP perhaps if you didn't want this discussion to feature attitudes to benefits you shouldn't have been so keen to preen about having no handouts.

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 29/01/2015 20:52

Schools don't have enough iPads ( or any other kind of pads) the lessons are short.

Children need to be computer illiterate

ilovechristmas1 · 29/01/2015 20:53

benefit or not any person male /female that has kids mostly at school should be able to keep up with housework, dosent have to be a show house but clean and washing etc kept up,regardless of who they are

MrsVamos · 29/01/2015 20:53

usual

Great minds...

Its sooooo boring now.

I'm not commenting about people of benefits here but children do not need iPads. My children don't have them.

usualsuspect333 · 29/01/2015 20:54

I'm not sure whats more boring, MrsV

The benefit bashing or the housework chat.

ouryve · 29/01/2015 20:56

Didn't you get the message when your "council tenant friend" post went down like a lead balloon, Judy? I know you're a big fan of AIBU, but you're coming across rather goady, lately.

usualsuspect333 · 29/01/2015 20:56

Do they have a slate and a piece of chalk?

MrsVamos · 29/01/2015 20:56

I know usual.

I did so love David Scamerons idea of a Big Society where we all respect and help one another.

I just can't imagine why its not worked.

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 29/01/2015 20:57

My children have.

My dd at the age of 1 with support could use one, she is 5 now and is very confident using the pad. She goes on Google and can use the browser.

I'm very computer illiterate.

Children who don't have access to these at home will find it difficult to keep up.

judgejudithjudy · 29/01/2015 20:57

One day I could be on benefits but would still keep my house & kids clean. Notice how they can afford cigs whilst I smoke roll ups & I don't have any expensive gadgets.

I do feel for the poor mum with a disabled dh as it's rolls reversed for us. Dh does do alot due to my disabilities, he's a star.

BlueBrightBlue · 29/01/2015 20:57

OP, please don't mention benefits, weight issues, or ethnicity, it isn't " naice" by NM standards ( or for anyone else who doesn't live in the real world or talks patronising shite on Woman's Hour)

davejudgement · 29/01/2015 20:58

It's dog eat dog out there and everyone's wearing judgey pants MrsVamos

ChocolateBiscuitCake · 29/01/2015 20:59

Sorry piper, if you can't afford it, don't buy it. Children are not disadvantaged by not having their own iPad...they are gadgets of which most kids are playing non educational games.

I will actively not buy my kids an iPad because they are not difficult to operate, don't require practise to use...instead my kids can go and be children and play.

Anyone can try and justify anything to suit their motive.

Groovee · 29/01/2015 20:59

Oh the OP is the one with council house envy because her friends boiler got fixed in 4 days!!

I don't really care about what others get up to.
