Should have cleaner/tidier houses seeing as they don't work? I'm a sahm with severe disabilities (supported by dh - no hand outs) & I keep my house clean.

Ps this isn't just about people on benefits - it just so happens I'm watching it on TV now.

Phil is yummy

frankie001 · 29/01/2015 20:33

Piperls : I have ocd but the opposite to your mum. Am so scared of germs/contamination that I can't clean. Often leave it for a day I'm planning to have a shower anyway. I realise living with a sufferer is no fun.

usualsuspect333 · 29/01/2015 20:33

Hi MrsV.

ChocolateBiscuitCake · 29/01/2015 20:35

The benefits lady has 7 children. Her house is very unclean (not especially untidy). However, as a mum on sole benefits I am Hmm with the flat screen telly, Samsung laptop, wifi, iPads and handheld computer games.

She hasn't worked for 20 years, is £20k in debt and says none of the dads pay Maintainence... So I assume the taxpayer pays for the gadgets? That is wrong.

nancy75 · 29/01/2015 20:35

Does being on benefits mean that you are above any criticism for anything? I would judge anyone that brings up kids in a shithole, benefits or not.

lostscot · 29/01/2015 20:36

Im with the op, some of those houses are disgusting!

usualsuspect333 · 29/01/2015 20:36

oh blimey, here come the taxpayers.

formerbabe · 29/01/2015 20:37

Any parent at home all day whose children are all at school should be capable (barring illness/disabilities) of keeping their home clean and tidy.

ilovesooty · 29/01/2015 20:38

It must be very tiring to spend your life consumed by other people's benefit claims and sitting in judgement on them.

usualsuspect333 · 29/01/2015 20:38

I judge people who watch that kind of shite on the telly just so they can be all outraged from Milton Keynes.

londonrach · 29/01/2015 20:39

Watching it too. How come so many children.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 29/01/2015 20:40

The Professionally Offended are out in force tonight let me tell you Grin

nancy75 · 29/01/2015 20:40

I'm not from Milton Keynes & I'm watching bbc2 about birds, I still judge people that bring up kids in a shithole because they can't be arsed to tidy

ghostyslovesheep · 29/01/2015 20:41

£20k in debt ... So I assume the taxpayer pays for the gadgets

I think you just answered that question ...

I hate the 'tax payer' shit - I bet the debt is from trying to buy nice stuff and I think people are entitled to spend the benefits they are legally entitled to on what they like ...you are not going down their and handing her money out of the kindness of your heart are you ;tax payers' Hmm

MrsVamos · 29/01/2015 20:41

I want to know how the 16 kids got benefits.

Is it just Child Benefits or are they claiming HB, CTC etc as well ?

ghostyslovesheep · 29/01/2015 20:41

there even ...

Only1scoop · 29/01/2015 20:42

I'd tell him to get his own milk and sort out the 'boc boc' for the dc. That woman is like a slave.

davejudgement · 29/01/2015 20:44

I couldn't give a toss if someone wants to live in filth nor think benefit claimants are wrong. I'd personally claim every fucking benefit I could from a government that was willing to hand it out whilst I scratched my arse all day, watching my flatscreen whilst the kids ran amok with their ipads

EdSheeran · 29/01/2015 20:44

I'm a tax payer and I claim DLA. I don't know whether to berate myself or what. Sad

Scram · 29/01/2015 20:45

she probably bought those gadgets on credit cards, if so then it begs the question, why do these companies lend to people with little or no reliable income when they are almost certain to not get it paid back!

ChocolateBiscuitCake · 29/01/2015 20:45

I would like to buy "nice stuff" but if we can't afford to, we don't or we save for luxury items by WORKING. I don't rely on govt handouts. iPads etc and are not essential. Keeping your gas/electric on, with 7 children, is.

Sleepyhoglet · 29/01/2015 20:45

Harsh! I haven't seen it OP but it sounds like they don't have respect for themselves or their children.

MMcanny · 29/01/2015 20:46

I always thought Phil looked like the sort to have secret rendevous with gay men in public toilets. Never seen the attraction myself.

judgejudithjudy · 29/01/2015 20:46

Usual - I cleaned my house when my toddler was napping rather than sitting on my arse. Then I have ever spare second to spend with my kids.

Sorry but as I said on benefits or not, no reason to keep your kids in a filthy house.

But as usual usual ignores that bit!

As a civilised country it doesn't matter to me if the parent spend 20+ years on benefits because of the children.

Do we want to go back to the time where single women was forced into work houses and forced adoptions.

The children comes first.

Ipad are used in schools as are computers. It would be a huge disadvantage if these children didn't have them.

I have recently been applying for jobs ( working atm) but every job is Internet based applications.

Children need these technology.
