He just thinks it was harmless. 'If you don't like it, don't look.' I'd like to educate him but I can't seem to find the words.

He's intelligent but can't seem to get this one.

I also agree briar.

I know I shouldn't respond to these people but I sometimes I can't help it.

I can't remember who posted this link about tiresome Devil's advocates but I am grateful to her.

They are just thoroughgoing wankers.

IMHO of course.

BriarRainbowshimmer · 24/01/2015 19:37

Feminism does equal sexual repression for men who want to do things like: Leer at teenage breasts in the newspaper, buy prostitutes, molest children, rape their wives etc.

YonicScrewdriver · 24/01/2015 19:39

Or sometimes plug uglies who no one would want to marry.

BriarRainbowshimmer · 24/01/2015 19:39

So yes, feminists are all about sexual liberation unless someone is harmed, and that upsets some men.

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 24/01/2015 19:40

That is certainly true, briar. Men who want women to be repressed (yet sexually available to them) will find sexual equality of women er... challenging.

limitedperiodonly · 24/01/2015 19:48

What, you mean that firm teenage boys' arses might be offered up every day in a mainstream newspaper?

Because it is only natural and heathy for men who are that way inclined to want to fuck teenage boys.

simontowers2 · 24/01/2015 19:48

Im all for equality. Bring it on. But getting rid of page 3 - which is so yesterday wont make fuck all difference. Really, it wont. Why not put efforts into something useful - all women short-lists for parliament for instance? I'd back that, im sure many men would. Or better, more effective regulation of the porn industry? The only reason "feminists" go for page 3 is cos they see young working class lasses who mainly constitute the subject matter on page 3 as a soft target.

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 24/01/2015 19:52

Simon's right everyone.

Right everyone! Off we go!

I'll get the kettle on. And look up flower arranging courses. Silly of us to campaign for equality. Campaigning never helped anyone did it? Oh, wait...

BriarRainbowshimmer · 24/01/2015 19:55

Simon sees MN as a soft target apparantly.

Couldn't possibly be any young working class women posting here, no....

simontowers2 · 24/01/2015 19:56

Cheers sabrina. I knew you'd see sense.

simontowers2 · 24/01/2015 19:57

Tell you what briar: i bet there arent many.

limitedperiodonly · 24/01/2015 19:59

I'm all for equality too.

So who wants to see a peachy teenage boy's arse on page 3 rather than Simon's wrinkly middle aged one?

Fists up.

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 24/01/2015 20:00

Yes Simon.

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 24/01/2015 20:02

Simon, your opinion of working class women is - what? That they can't be political? That they can't be for equality?

You think all working class women are wannabe page 3 girls? I think you're a bit class conscious and confused.

simontowers2 · 24/01/2015 20:03

There used to be paged 7 fella limited. Always had a hair chest.

simontowers2 · 24/01/2015 20:03

Hairy

simontowers2 · 24/01/2015 20:06

Not at all sabrina. My guess however is that most page 3 girls are of a certain demographic. Perhaps im wrong, who knows. I would think that young working class women generally arent political. But, again, im guessing.

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 24/01/2015 20:08

So you don't actually know - but you're spouting off on Mumsnet as if you're some sort of authority on the subject. I see.

I'm off to a football forum. I'm going to tell them what to think, although I'm just guessing.

YonicScrewdriver · 24/01/2015 20:09

LMGTFY Simon.

simontowers2 · 24/01/2015 20:09

As stated earlier, i bitterly resent a small demographic of society trying to dictate to the rest of us.

alicemalice · 24/01/2015 20:09

Well now look who's picking on young working class women.

TheRealAmandaClarke · 24/01/2015 20:09

You're not guessing.
Your'e talking nonsense.
Imo.

simontowers2 · 24/01/2015 20:11

No but i will do yonic. Cheers. Sabrina- go to a foot all forum, you're perfectly entitled to your opinion.

alicemalice · 24/01/2015 20:11

That's plain enough, Simon.

No one's dictating to anyone. Well no more than you've dictated your opinions to us.

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 24/01/2015 20:15

It's not dictating - it's campaigning. For a start, we're not in a position to 'dictate' - Rupert Murdoch and his honchos are. And they dictate that women are subjected to this every day. It's been explained to you that page 3 is used as a form of harassment against women all the time - we don't even need to prove that to you - Dylan Sharpe proved it by tweeting a topless picture to Harriet Harman, Lucy Holmes, Kay Burley and others as a 'gloat' - and it was a topless picture - it was only cropped later.

I see you took omni calling men who openly look at page 3 on the bus 'cunts' as a personal attack on you - why?
