All newspaper sales are falling. The Sun's fell by nearly 10% in the 12 months between June 2013 and June 2014 and is still declining. Its circulation has fallen by well over a million since 2008.

Every now and then it gets a temporary boost by PR and promotional activities but the relentless downward trend then continues.

The page 3 con is simply the latest wheeze to reverse its inevitable decline All pretty puerile stuff really. But then the Sun does do puerile really well.

But it won't stop circulation falling……their desperation is palpable.

I think the point is more that the owners of The Sun should be acting in a way that will not harm society, and/or that will not harm a very substantial proportion of society. They might, for instance, enhance their profits yet further by being more overtly racist than they already are, but I think we can agree that is not a path they should go down.

I don't see anything remotely sexist, offensive or objectifying about Will's username, and she's already explained her choice of username to you at length Norland.

Calling a film star 'kinda hot' is not on a par with the everyday objectification of countless women in the Sun.

Its really disturbing (to anyone who isnt a misogynist) that our country sanctions the sexual objectification of women in this way.
