We were supoose to get paid yesterday, were given a load of excuses by the account eg "I only process on a Monday now payment will be after". Today there is still no payment in my account. I have no gas, no food and need to get the last of my Christmas shopping.

It's not base transfer, we've had issues before where she hasn't paid until the Thursday (fortnightly pay on a monday). I've emailed and text my boss but no reply. Aibu to feel angry and let down, I work so hard, cover when I can etc.

I'm waiting to hear back from acas regarding mediation (incase money is incorrect still). Sadly not much I can do over them sacking me as my employment was so short. The anger has subsided a bit now but another member of staff has be sacked today Sad

Here's hoping your interview pays off, mrsgrinch - you totally deserve it and those shysters don't deserve you. Flowers

Have just read this who,e thread with my mouth open. definitely pursue with ACAS. Might be worth looking at solicitors regulation authority also, as the owners could be in breach of various professional integrity standards as well.

Good luck on the new job Thanks

msgrinch · 04/01/2015 11:55

Thanks cornchips, I still feel very shocked. It's more the feeling of betrayal that's upset me. I know I was good at my job. Argh! I will definitely have a look into that as well. I've applied for over 30 jobs already. So fingers crossed one will have me. Grin

Oh for goodness sake. Here I am again. Pay is late!

OP posts:
sockmatcher · 06/01/2015 12:09

Oh for goodness sake! Have you spoken to them or ACAS?

wishmiplass · 06/01/2015 12:42

This is so out of order. They're taking the piss big time. I would avoid speaking with owners now and deal only through ACAS. You may have to wait and chase to get your final entitlements (as has been said previously, make sure you get notice/holiday/bank charges factored in), but it's got to be better than dealing with such unscrupulous people. It will only serve to sap you of any positivity, which you're going to need for your interview. Good luck, OP. XXXX

Ringing acas at 2.30.

(payment last fortnight went in at 2 pm.)

This is just so unfair now.

TallulahTwinkletoes · 06/01/2015 15:37

Fuck sake. That company is terrible. I hope acas tear them a new one.

msgrinch · 06/01/2015 17:53

Ok,

I spoke to acas (the guy was lovely), they will assist me in getting the correct wages but not a lot they can do about me being sacked, due to my employment being so short.

They are however very interested in the fact I wasn't given the correct notice. Need to scan and send my contract, notice letter, copies of emails/texts (especially the sweetie one) and payslips (Argh! they haven't given them to me!) to the advisor asap.

Lovely assistant manager is going to provide a reference for me if needed on Thurs or in the future. He has also handed in his notice as he can't cope with creepy arse manager.

MinceSpy · 06/01/2015 18:32

Oh msgrinch what an awful time, glad ACAS have helped and good luck Thursday.

msgrinch · 06/01/2015 18:39

Thank you! Off to primark tomorrow, with my Christmas voucher to buy an outfit. It's loaded with £30 so should be ok!

So nervous though.

Get something fabulous and wow them. I am keeping everything crossed for you.

msgrinch · 07/01/2015 10:03

Thank you! It's going to have to be a raid the wardrobe situation. Don't feel brilliant, so no shopping for me. Lots of rest ready for tomorrow Grin

Random update.

I've just received an email from the company's accounts department (I asked for my p45, payslips and queried the missing pay). The account has explained that they can't process my p45 yet as I haven't technically left until the TWO WEEKS notice I'm entitled to is up.

Funny that, creepy arse manager gave me 5 days in his letter. Grin Grin

I'm getting another payment from them in a fortnight, with the two weeks notice pay and holiday accrued.

Email has been copied and sent to acas. It seems creepy arse manager has been rumbled by his own accountant.

Haha. What a knob. I think this will be an easy win for you. Just ashame you can't get his job and do it much better than him Wink

Chippednailvarnish · 07/01/2015 14:49

Pleased to hear that!

msgrinch · 07/01/2015 14:54
