Just seen the recent pictures and his knees are bare again! OK the socks are pulled up, but I just can't help but think he must be a bit chilly round the legs, poor lamb. I also think they dress him oddly too, I'm all for traditionally non character clothing, but he looks so starchy and uncomfy. If I were them I'd put him in things like these:

Cotton T-shirt Comfy trousers plimsolls

I think he looks cute and happy.

I also think it's kind of strange to suggest that PG might be cold (= ignorance and/or neglect) or is wearing uncomfortable clothes (also = ignorance and/or neglect)

Tastes vary. PG is wearing the clothes his parents like. I prefer them to the clothes you linked to. While I personally wouldn't chose them , that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with you dressing your DC in them.

I just don't get why you felt the need to imply that the way PG is dressed hints at something slightly sinister - like they don't care or love for their baby.

The clothes linked too are awful imo, bar the shoes.

George looks lovely. He is a Prince, he has to look timeless and I think he does.

As for him looking cold? he looks like he is teething. A cold child is usually miserable and I am sure he was out there for all of a minute or two and then bought back in and probably put in a sleep suit or tracksuit bottoms.

Why else would you post this if it wasn't to judge his parents?

One of the warmest Novembers on record BTW, and Kensington Palace is a bit of a suntrap. I was gardening in November in a teeshirt and cotton leggings.

I love the latest pics but thought his wee legs looked a bit mottled with the cold

I see what you mean, Venus, but I do think it's pretty awful to insinuate that I've accused parents of something as awful as neglect, when I have not. It seems a bit like the way I've seen abuse used or construed on some threads, which is a really awful accusation too.

I still don't see how I'm judging, just making an observation. Never meant to judge anyway.

OP I think you're absolutely right to mention it, after all if it was any regular family attending school/playgroup with a child dressed like that you would have staff raising their eyebrows at you and quite rightly so.

If it's the photos on the step I don't think he looks cold at all

The Cath Kidston top was £16 in the sale. Now out of stock & a few being sold on EBay "as worn by Prince George" with bids of £31, with a few days left to go. Someone was quick off the mark!

Op you committed the cardinal sin of forgetting to put "lighthearted" in your title thus giving the same old posters free rein to be rude and obnoxious

That's just sad, Soggy, bet they are the same ones selling Mabel and Monty for ££££ I've always wondered though, if the people buying the clothes actually have DCs or not or whether they are collectors, which seems a bit sinister for reasons I can't identify. Feels like stalking to me.

I expect on a normal day he wears long trousers, Kate seems very sensible to me. They are cute photos and I can't see the need to criticise

Which school or nursery would be commenting or concerned if you dressed your child like this for a photograph? Or even for a day? And why on earth would they be right to do so?

Many independent boys schools have a uniform of shorts and long socks for primary school aged boys.

At my infant school, although we only have a dress code and a preferred uniform it isn't compulsory, we have a number of children who choose to wear school type shorts with socks and others who wear dresses and skirts with socks. There are no raised eyebrows or judgy comments from staff rightly so! Its not like it is thick snow on the ground - infact til recently its been very mild.
