  1. Only post juicy AIBUs. Do not sneak in general chat topics under the guise of "AIBU to ask you about... pushchairs/holiday properties/breastfeeding/insert other dull topic?"
  1. Clearly indicate your aibu topic in the thread title. "AIBU to be annoyed about this?" is not acceptable, as I may click on it and find it dull.
  1. No "posting for extra traffic". This is the MN equivalent of queue-jumping.
  1. No indication of light-heartedness. MNers should be sufficiently intelligent and discerning to understand when the OP is tongue-in-cheek.

Thank you for your co-operation. Smile

  • don't be a cunt.
MardyBra · 21/11/2014 18:20

Feel free to suggest additional rules for approval. Wink

MardyBra · 21/11/2014 18:20

Celibacy

Is that a rule suggestion or are you calling me a cunt?

  1. Do not, under any circumstances, do a reverse or you will automatically be deemed the unreasonable party and banned from the internet for 30 days

please please please have that one. Before I go slap happy with a 3 week old kipper.

WorraLiberty · 21/11/2014 18:22

Where do we stand on "Whoops! Sorry, I thought I posted this in Chat"?

Lying fuckers

nobodysbabynow · 21/11/2014 18:22

Agree, and also approve of your commanding use of the adverb forthwith.

MardyBra · 21/11/2014 18:23

Good call vital. Number 5 stands.

OP posts:
HappenstanceMarmite · 21/11/2014 18:23

You get my vote on all counts.

MardyBra · 21/11/2014 18:23

Why thank you nobodys

OP posts:
MardyBra · 21/11/2014 18:24

This appears to be my most reasonable aibu ever. Apart from the possible cunt comment.

OP posts:
Fairenuff · 21/11/2014 18:24

Agreed.

hellsandwich · 21/11/2014 18:25

Hmm. Well ordinarily I'd agree, but I've been following a fairly mundane AIBU (about RSVP-ing to children's party organisers) and it's tapped a rich vein of complete twuntery, so how would that work?

MardyBra · 21/11/2014 18:26

Worra I'm thinking one "mistake" is allowable, but repeat offenders should be excommunicated and exiled to the wasteland known as "WWYD".

OP posts:
CelibacyCakeAndElevatorMuzac · 21/11/2014 18:26

It's a rule suggestion you cunt Wink

MardyBra · 21/11/2014 18:26
  1. Ban the use of the gavel.
OP posts:
MardyBra · 21/11/2014 18:29

Glad to hear it Celibacy.

DadDadDad · 21/11/2014 18:30

Could you not be a little less ambitious and focus on rule 2 getting implemented? After all, get that right and it goes a long way to addressing your other rules (as you will clearly be able to tell whether a new thread is worth your time).

And I think the occasional reverse AIBU spices things up. But maybe we should require the OP to return within one hour of starting and putting in bold "REVERSE AIBU."

hellsandwich · 21/11/2014 18:31
  1. If the majority say yabu, you must accept this and not drip feed additional info so as to sway opinion.
Cauliflowersneeze1 · 21/11/2014 18:32

yes to number 4 , writing lighthearted is very wankerish

MardyBra · 21/11/2014 18:33

I'm not sure about 7 hells. An intransigent OP can make a classic thread. See Supersoaker.

OP posts:
OttiliaVonBCup · 21/11/2014 18:34

And no reverse cunting AIBUs.
