Romeo Beckham gets £45 grand for a days work.

How much does this family need. Burberry have paid 12 year old Romeo £45.000 for one days work modeling. I don't wear Burberry myself but if I did that would probably put me off ever buying it again. How far will this family go for publicity and money. Small change to them though. But isn't there something wrong when a 12 year old gets in one day what it might take most of us a year or two to earn?

Yes LePetit but we all accept that the super hard-working teachers and nurses are top of the hard-working league table.
Reward:straight to heaven.

It's a different kind of work the Beckhams do, yes. But I bet it's fascinating and I'd give it a go like a shot.

Bowlersarm · 12/11/2014 20:38

He doesn't look like most 12 year old boys I know. He is a good looking 12 year old. That doesn't mean to say he'll be a good looking 16 year old or adult (looking at his parents, maybe he will be....) The majority of my DSes friends wouldn't be model material at 12 (they're currently 14, and less of model material now).

LePetitMarseillais · 12/11/2014 20:38

No need to send to heaven but perhaps some restraint re the hypocritical celeb love in- and a reality check if you please.

Southeastdweller · 12/11/2014 20:40

Calling a kid 'sexy' is very different from saying he or she is 'amazing looking' FFS.

TSSDNCOP · 12/11/2014 20:40

sparkling the coats and the ad campaign aren't really aimed at us I think. By us, I mean the Uk generally. I would hazard the target market is teens/young twenties in label obsessed China, HK, Singpaore etc.

LePetitMarseillais · 12/11/2014 20:40

Oh and if I had a few million handed to me and a little back book full of celeb contacts I'm pretty sure I could pull off starting up my own business.

RabbitOfNegativeEuphoria · 12/11/2014 20:41

Sorry, but people who run multi million pound business work very hard. Sportspeople work even harder, often from a very young age. Just because you don't understand what a job entails doesn't mean that it doesn't involve hard work.

Bowlersarm · 12/11/2014 20:42

Maybe you could, maybe you couldn't LePetit. I wouldn't be so sure if I weeper you.

Sparklingbrook · 12/11/2014 20:42

DB does nothing for me at all. All the swooning over him-I don't get that at all.
If my Dad was modelling underpants when I was Brooklyn's age I would have been well embarrassed.

chickydoo · 12/11/2014 20:42

He's a lovely looking boy, good luck to him!

Bowlersarm · 12/11/2014 20:43

Oops 'were you'

notascientist · 12/11/2014 20:43

Pollyteacakes,
I get what you're saying!
Most children that age have to make do with a paper round - where they get paid a tenner a week.
But unfortunately, this is the way of the world - some people are more privaleged than others and that's the way it is and the way it will always be.
And who knows, maybe they're donating part of his fee to charity. They seem like a decent family.

SuburbanRhonda · 12/11/2014 20:43

I'm with sparkling on this one.

In what way can a 12-year-old boy be any more "amazing looking" than your average boy of that age? What exactly does "amazing looking" even mean?

Confused
LePetitMarseillais · 12/11/2014 20:43

How do you know I don't understand what such jobs entail?

Perhaps I do but still think compared to real life jobs done by people living in the real world without an entourage and millions to prop them up with hard work it isn't.

Sparklingbrook · 12/11/2014 20:44

Oh right TSS. The 12 year olds round here don't even wear coats so it's probably for the best.Grin

KimHollywood · 12/11/2014 20:46

Oh and if I had a few million handed to me and a little back book full of celeb contacts I'm pretty sure I could pull off starting up my own business

And who the hell would pass up that opportunity? Not many.

Anyway you can be given the best tools in any trade, doesn't mean you will automatically be successful.

Siarie · 12/11/2014 20:46

That's only 45 of their coats as far as Burberry are concerned. At least he is working, I doubt anyone would ask for a lower salary.

Bowlersarm · 12/11/2014 20:47

Some people are more amazing looking than others. It's the way of the world. We aren't born with, and we don't grow into, the same levels of beauty. And if you really don't see that, then no one can explain it to you.

Roussette · 12/11/2014 20:48

Very judgy. She may just be thin. So what anyway? Comments on women's bodies are unfair.
Her size now is not her natural size, she is nearly skeletal for gods sake. Besides which I think I made some valid points in my post. Why pick on just that??

Sparklingbrook · 12/11/2014 20:49

I can't decide how amazing looking DS2 is.

newgirl · 12/11/2014 20:49

It's a very long-winded ad - it's as if they thought they'd better get as much value out of him as pos - doesn't make me want to buy a beige mac

TheLovelyBoots · 12/11/2014 20:50

But how is he any more 'amazing looking' than any other 12 year old boy? I don't get it. He just looks like all the other boys I see on a Saturday morning at junior footy.

Yep.

LePetitMarseillais · 12/11/2014 20:50

Um I'm not sure VB or her offspring could ever be called beautiful.Confused

Attractive maybe but then so are everybody else in their own way.

ssd · 12/11/2014 20:51

hes very cute, but so is my boy (well mine is way cuter but I may be biased Blush)

FreudiansSlipper · 12/11/2014 20:51

as i said before it was the heart breaking comment

its an odd comment like sexy is for a child

yes it is often used and i find it strange

I am quite sure if Katie Price's son was being paid as much there would not be this celeb worship
