To be totally baffled (Ched Evans related)

Just reading in the guardian that Ched Evans has applied to the Criminal Cases Review Commission to review his case. That's fine because it is part of our due process and legal system.

However, in the article it points out that his girlfriend's father is paying for appeal barristers, private detectives and even offering a reward for information in order to help his appeal. Why would you do that? Why would you put up so much money to protect a person who at best (from their perspective at least) cheated on your daughter in a rather deplorable fashion and at worst a rapist? Why would got want your daughter to be with such a person?

I note this from the Karl Massey thing:

So he seems to think his admitted conduct (i.e. excluding the rape issue) would have been morally fine if he had had no partner? It's a fascinating insight into Massey's own moral standards.

Yes itsfab I mean if he's successful in his application to have his conviction quashed (which is a long shot anyway i hope), we then wouldn't legally be able to call him a rapist. I would, however, quite happily refer to him as a sexual predator without fear of reproach.

And that letter Karl Massey refers to is I presume the one.posted on their website where the victim basically calls Ched's victim a liar. Talk about women being hateful towards other women. That's an example right there Karl Massey. Or do you condone hatred towards the victim of Ched Evans?

Look over here Karl Massey . Here be the feminists. The ones who are outraged at the rapist Ched Evans and his apologists. The ones standing up for the victim of his awful crime. There are many feminists on here and not one threat of violence towards your daughter apart from wanting to figuratively knock a bit of sense into her.

Its interesting that Karl Massey not only comments on that blog, but Evan's mother has also tweeted quotes from it.

It seems that either there really are not many blogs in support of Ched out there to choose from, or that the person who wrote this is a family member/friend.

It's interesting that the writer of that blog dismisses the court transcripts as 'just what was said in court' - rather forgetting that CE and CM both testified in court, and had lawyer/barristers defending them. It's not like a load of feminist bloggers (-who afterwards went online and threatened Natasha with rape-) had him in a kangaroo court is it? The justice system isn't exactly known for it's feminism.

Yes, actually i will admit to skim reading the blog earlier, but having just re read the bit i just quoted there is so much wrong with it i dont even know where to begin (the blatant bullshitting! The complete lack of full stops throughout the entire extract! The absence of any coherent arguement!)

I would like to call Karl Massey out on his glowing character reference of Ched Evans. I've worked with offenders. Many of them are 'really nice guys'. Doesn't change the fact that they're convicted criminals. Rapists and murderers alike.

Ched won't be able to read, I reckon. But some of his cronies will be reading this thread.
