Who is being unreasonable in the battle of the bush?

I've changed names for obvious reasons.

Basically because I'm lazy and hate itchy stubble I leave my lady garden as nature intended.

Dp makes no bones about the fact he hates it. He's always making little jokes and digs. He says he doesn't want it all gone just wants me to prune it a bit.

I've done it once since we've been together and the itching drove me insane.

Who's being unreasonable?

He is, its yours to do what you want with

ArkhamOffett · 14/10/2014 19:28

He is.

'Always' going on about it. He needs a hobby.

OwlWearingSunglasses · 14/10/2014 19:28

It's yours. Nothing wrong in pruning a bit of long vegetation though once in a while...

SWIMTHECHANNEL · 14/10/2014 19:28

Say you will if he will. That should see him off.

Pippidoeswhatshewants · 14/10/2014 19:28

Dp is an idiot, LTB.

Hope this helps.

CaptainAnkles · 14/10/2014 19:29

If it's on your body, you make the styling decisions. If he said he hated your hair cut would you shave your head? I doubt it.

Battleofthebush · 14/10/2014 19:29

He already shaves his bits, not on my insistence.

TeaspoonAndAnOpenMind · 14/10/2014 19:29

He is. I shaved for a few months just to see what all the fuss was about, and got ingrown hairs and itching and it drove me potty. So I just stopped and DP said he wasn't bothered either way. So much for that.

Only1scoop · 14/10/2014 19:30

It can itch when you first wax or prune but that soon stops....I can't stand the 70's bush either ....but each to their own.

KingJoffreysBloodshotEye · 14/10/2014 19:30

Tell him you hate his wrinkly, sagging scrotum.

Tell him to organise it.

Then tell him again.

Your fanjeaux (got that from another thread, really hoping it catches on), your business.

Purplepoodle · 14/10/2014 19:30

Try electric razor and don't go too close, it doesn't get itchy then

TheBatteriesHaveRunOut · 14/10/2014 19:30

Tell him stop bleating about your bush.

Faez · 14/10/2014 19:32

Off point but I find Veet is the only thing that doesn't cause irritation (aware you're not meant to use it down there). I find it so uncomfortable having a bush!

PoohBearsHole · 14/10/2014 19:34

tell him about someone you know on mn who pruned and plucked for love, then got an ingrowing hair and ended up having the fanjeaux cut open to dig out a large cyst leaving a two in scar. no playing in the lady garden for some time.

I would love not to have a 70s bush BUT I love not having my own bollock round my fanjeaux too!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 14/10/2014 19:35

OMG KingJ I love that.
Fanjeau, fanjeaux. Tis wonderful. I will use at every opportunity.

Andrewofgg · 14/10/2014 19:36

Tell him stop bleating about your bush.

Grin
Battleofthebush · 14/10/2014 19:37

Ooo Pooh that sounds painful.

OP posts:
LittleBearPad · 14/10/2014 19:37

He shaves?

Odd

You do as you wish.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 14/10/2014 19:40

I consider myself lucky to be fairly light in the hirsuteness of fanjeau department. I trim with cuticle scissors from time to time. Shaved once about two decades ago and MY GOD THE ITCH, STOP THE ITCH, STOP STOP. Nevair again mes amies.

TheBatteriesHaveRunOut · 14/10/2014 19:40

Also, your bush, your business.

Make a long list of his physical shortcomings (those he can do something about) and then whinge at him in the manner he is whining at you. Tell him you'll stop if he will.

Or you could tell him exactly how unsexy his moaning and griping is, and ask him what he thinks the natural consequence of that might be.

PS When it was all green fields round 'ere, it was 'fanjo'.

KnackeredMuchly · 14/10/2014 19:43

I used a lady trimmer, it's marvellous and no itching

indigo18 · 14/10/2014 19:43

Jeez - thank goodness I am from the pre-prune generation. I hate the plucked chicken look and I'm sure I couldn't be asked with fanjeaux-maintenance. Bad enough keeping my nails done.
Also, do folks actually like hairless males? I rather like hair in the right places, sort of manly..

Itsfab · 14/10/2014 19:47

He is being a controlling twat, jokes (that aren't funny) and digs? Hmm

My waxing or not wouldn't be any concern of his anymore as he wouldn't be getting anywhere near it again!

Why does he think he can control what goes on with your body? Have you asked him?

KingJoffreysBloodshotEye · 14/10/2014 19:48

Also, do folks actually like hairless males?

No. No. And no again.

Hairy men. Chest, arms, legs, armpits, personal areas and beard. Hairy men are HOT.

Line up a group of men and I'll fancy the hairiest.

Aherdofmims · 14/10/2014 19:50

It is such a personal thing that it's entirely for you to decide. He is bu to go on about it once you have made views clear.

Personally I can't stand shaved look in either sex but that's just me. I think adults should look like adults down below...
