Just curious as it seems to be everywhere nowadays but I'm not sure if this is a realistic perception. Is it just celebrities or is it us normal folk too? I think I'd be tempted if I had the money although not sure I'd actually go through with it because of the fear of it going wrong (infection, looking worse than before etc.).

@badtzmaru I had an otoplasty and it changed my life. Like yourself, never had my hair up, now I can wear it however: ponytail, bun, braided etc....

Do it if you can get the cash!!!

Omgkittiess · 26/02/2017 20:06

Only lip fillers if that counts?

Adult braces.

Nose job in my teens (20 yrs ago). Boobs done after first born & liposuction. No regrets about nose & boobs but lipo was a waste of money

fussychica · 05/02/2019 17:59

As a youngster I wanted a nose job but never did it and can honestly say that I never think about it anymore.
I'd love to get rid of my jowls and I think only a face lift would do it but I'm too scared and at my age it would probably be a bit daft.

ewenice · 05/02/2019 18:07

I've had fillers and botox on my forehead and lips to get rid of horrible lines. Also sculptra to my face to lift everything. I'm heading for 60 and really felt I was looking old. Haven't told anyone but last time I met up with people I hadn't seen for a few months said how great I look.

I'm really happy with the work I've had done and it's made me more confident. Not really bothered if people are critical of it - my sister thinks it's obscene but she is ageing way better than me!

Guineapiglet345 · 05/02/2019 19:08

No, all the people I know who’ve had plastic surgery don’t look quite right, not that I know a huge number of people who’ve had it but I’ve seen a couple of nose jobs and the skin looks too tight and shiny compared to the rest of the face and the shape doesn’t quite fit with the rest of their features.

The lip fillers never look right, they always look swollen and sore to me.

Boob jobs never look quite right in the middle, they always look too rounded and stuck on.

proseccoaficionado · 06/02/2019 05:37

I did. My ears were horrible. It's the best thing I did.

Grubsmummy · 06/02/2019 07:54

I had rhinoplasty at 21 due to a large bump on my nose that wrecked my confidence through teenage years. My family paid for it for my 21st birthday and it was the best thing I've ever done.
Im mid 30s now and quite frumpy and plain so wouldn't have any beautifying surgery such as boob job, fillers etc, im happy to get wrinkles and go grey.
But if/when I lose weight I will be 100% having a tummy tuck due to c section overhang

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 06/02/2019 11:31

I'm fortunate in that I'm not too wrinkly as yet. But I'm considering fillers, as the one thing I hate about the way my face is ageing is that my cheeks look scored down the middle. I'm worried, though, that messing with my face could result in that 'nailed to a rollercoaster' look; nor do I want my eyes to appear tiny, as I'm concerned might happen if I did go for the cheek filler look. If anyone who's done it can advise me on this, I'd be eternally grateful!

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 06/02/2019 11:34

Oh, I'd also like to get rid of my Cesarean section overhang. Is anyone else blighted with this? Hideous :(

Iooselipssinkships · 06/02/2019 11:36

I've had lip fillers. Would have much more done if I had the money.

LMBad · 06/02/2019 11:51

Only Botox so far but I probably will later down the line. Currently 37, might have a mini face lift and fillers at 40 to perk me up a bit. And once I’ve finished having babies I plan to have a tummy tuck as I have a bit of a saggy apron/gunt thing.

oreoxoreo · 06/02/2019 12:36

I had labiaplasty at the age of 39, reduction of one side, best thing ever to be able to forget about something that bothered you day in, day out for years!

If I had money I would have tummy tuck from my wobbly after birth tummy and top lip implant.

I has a breast uplift & eyes lasered (not sure if this comes under cosmetic surgery), in 2003.

Don’t regret either.

Pugwash1 · 07/02/2019 18:37

Had lipo with very reputable and famous surgeon when living abroad. Game changer. No matter what exercise or diet I followed or how slim and fit I was I had stubborn fat bulges that would not dissappear. Hideously painful and black and blue for weeks and took months for the swelling to go but was worth it IMO as everything now seems to be 'right' IYKWIM. Dropped a dress size but this wasn't why I had it. Have botox now and again but am an aesthetician and do this myself about once a year but only minimally. Tried lip fillers once. Didn't trust anyone else so did them myself and had a very subtle look but liked it. Just don't know if I can be bothered to do that one again. Use Obagi radiance peels a few times a year. Very nice treatment with good results as used to have terrible melasma. What else? Home tooth whitening but won't bother again as they are ok anyway and it was so bloody painful due to sensitive teeth. Had some stretch marks lasered and that was awesome. Would probably have work on my eyelids and neck at some point. I'm growing old disgracefully and don't care! Oh! Had my eyebrows microbladed recently but again did a lot of research and had to wait 6 months for an appointment. Delighted with the results. Wow. When written down that looks sooo bad!!!

Undecided84 · 07/02/2019 22:01

Not cosmetic surgery, but a minor cosmetic procedure, IPL.

I am 34 and very pale, which means I have hardly any wrinkles due to always wearing SPF religiously since my early 20s, but being pale also means thst I am prone to my cheeks going red.

In my 20s this was always temporary flushing due to red wine or extreme heat, but once I hit 30 I noticed that my cheeks were starting to look red on a more permanent basis. I have had IPL on my face twice to keep the redness at bay and it works a treat, it also got rid of a few very tiny sun spots on my face (which I think would be from burning before I hit 21 and started wearing SPF 50 every day).

It's possibly vain, but it doesn't change my appearance in any way other than to reduce the redness. I would be much more wary of botox due to the possibility of it changing my expressions, but I may change my tune about that once I hit my 40s.

MissLanesAmericanCousin · 07/02/2019 22:10

None, but I am 45 and I won't look like I'm in my early 30's forever. I am open to botox and the like when the time comes. Nothing drastic though. Just maintain what I have.

tor8181 · 07/02/2019 22:47

i havent but i would if it was free

i would defo have a breast uplift as ive been a K to M cup for most of my afult life and a DD from a young age so my nipples are parallel to belly button

MonsterTequila · 07/02/2019 23:01

Rhinoplasty (deviated septum) privately
Lip fillers
Botox in upper lip due to gummy smile

Alexxiss · 11/02/2019 11:49

I had breast augmentation in my 19s. Never really wanted any surgery but i felt very embarassed with my flat chest. Never wore proper bra:-( I had one friend who had also surgery in early age and that made me to booked myself as well. I was also worried about the pain and infection, but i think you just have to be sure your surgeon is certified and experienced enough. When i spoke to the surgeon about my issue i was pleased about his advices and the way he explained every step of the surgery. In 3 months time i was booked at Forme clinic and honestly i am very happy with my new breasts. They look fab and luckily nothing worse then little of swelling did not happen.

whotheeff · 20/03/2019 19:33

I'm beginning investigations for my eyelids and lipo on my chin/neck. Does anyone have any recommendations where to start in the North of England/Yorkshire?

nanini · 03/06/2019 15:03

I've had botox and fillers but don't know if I'll have any more as I was diagnosed with cancer of the uterus last year and have had lots of surgical and medical treatment ever since, and so am worried about injecting toxins in my face now. I might change my mind in a few months time when I feel better.

I've also had threading in my face but doubt I would do it again as it was very painful and my face was bruised for several weeks.

I never told anyone I was having botox etc and used to get people commenting on my (almost) line free face - but no more!
However it was costing me a lot of money so my bank balance is very healthy now.
