Just curious as it seems to be everywhere nowadays but I'm not sure if this is a realistic perception. Is it just celebrities or is it us normal folk too? I think I'd be tempted if I had the money although not sure I'd actually go through with it because of the fear of it going wrong (infection, looking worse than before etc.).

I had lip fillers when the weekend after my 18th birthday. I was never happy with my thin and wonky mouth. 3 years later and I'm still getting them redone every 4 and a half months.

I don't regret it at all and they're not obvious that they've been injected with filler. I didn't go OTT. People find out and tell me they would never have know, so that's a good sign.

One downside it the fact that people think it's just a craze. Recently bigger lips have become popular so people always assume I gave into the craze although I decided I wanted them done about 5 years ago before they were the IN thing.

I had a tummy tuck about 20 years ago; I had a proper apron of skin, and I used to get fungal infections under it all the time. I was very lucky - we had a wonderful GP who got me the operation on the NHS. I think I was one of the last ones. It really did make a huge difference to my confidence - being able to wear size 12 jeans and a short top because I didn't have a bulge to hide any more was fantastic. Still is :)

No. I don't like a lot of it and think it makes you look more artificial rather than better. I'm not a fan of lip fillers or boob jobs. I worry bleaching your teeth just thins the enamel. Fair enough if you have a significant cosmetic defect easily fixed along the braces for wonky teeth or nose job for very crooked on line but otherwise I'm not a fan.

chiquita1 · 16/07/2016 18:12

Lots. Brow lift, blepharoplasty upper lids, nose job

maisiejones · 16/07/2016 23:51

Five years ago I had lower face lift and blepharoplasty. I have an appointment this week to get my tear troughs filled as they are getting quite deep and I feel I look tired. I openly admit to it all though.

ListObsessed · 17/07/2016 07:49

Ooh, Maisie, I'd love an update on the tear trough fillers.

I had breast implants in 2007. I now feel like a normal female with a normal body.

apple1992 · 17/07/2016 08:54

I'd really like a rhinoplasty but simply cat afford it, and also would feel uncomfortable going back to work with a new face!

MrsLion · 17/07/2016 08:56

I have Botox and fillers regularly.
Seriously considered a tummy tuck, but couldn't justify the huge expense.

ll87 · 17/07/2016 12:40

had my nose fixed when I was 22. best thing I ever did, including getting two degrees, getting married etc

just entirely changed my life :)

FinalGirl · 17/07/2016 13:29

I had liposuction on my thighs when I was 21. Have always been slim but had very out of proportion thighs which I hated because made me almost square shaped around my hips/thighs.

I don't regret it at all 10 years on. It made a world of difference to how I feel about my body initially and I think it's probably prompted me to look after myself more because I know I can be really happy with how I look.

stopgap · 17/07/2016 13:36

I have Botox on my Crow's Feet and fillers under my eyes. I never thought I'd do something like this, but a year of horrific insomnia made me appear like something from Tales of the Crypt.

I'm about to have a nose job in September. I have a severe deviated septum, and my air flow to the right is minimal. That isn't cosmetic, but in order to correct my nose, from the middle it needs shifting minimally to the left, hence it being classified as a nose job.

Really happy with my body, as I'm a workout fiend. I don't think I'll have anything else done.

BlueLeopard · 17/07/2016 14:05

Overall I'm relatively happy with my body so the first thing I'd do if I won the lottery is get cosmetic dentistry. Not veneers or the blinding white fake kind, but braces, implant where there is a visible tooth gap and go a few shades lighter. Just to have a really lovely natural looking smile and be able to laugh without feeling self conscious.

I'm early forties so I'm starting to see my eyelids droop a tad. I'm not bothered about crows feet but a very subtle face tightening would be nice. I've always had tiny boobs so to move up a size so I could go without heavily padded bras would be lovely. But very likely if there was risk associated with procedures I would probably chicken out anyway.

I don't want to change the way I look, just be maybe a happier, more rested version of me.

maisiejones · 17/07/2016 18:36

Hi List. I'll let you know how it goes.

Kittyy · 31/07/2016 19:11

I would like to reopen this topic. I'm considering plastic surgery. I would like to undergo rhinoplasty this year. Do you have any suggestions for clinic? I would like to travel abroad. I found clinic in Czech republic - it's called forme clinic. They have good reviews and great surgeons. Any suggestions?

Bingybongybashy · 03/08/2016 23:09

Hi List. If you're thinking of year trough fillers, do it!! I had mine done end of March this year and it's amazing! People said to me I look like I did pre children and that I looked really fresh and bright. I was sick of having dark circles and eyes bags in bags. It has totally smoothed out my under eye and my dark circles have gone. I am still in amazement at them every day, 4 months on! I also had some Botox around my crows feet which has just complimented the fillers and made me look even better. My advice to anyone is go do it! You won't regret it! X

UpYerGansey · 03/08/2016 23:50

I'm 46, and in June had Botox for the 11's that made me look angry, and filler for the nose-to-mouth line. The Botox slightly lifted my brow droop, which was nice.

I'm never not doing this again, best money I ever spent.

I don't look all that much different, just rested, less stressed, tired and old

gardenangels · 04/08/2016 00:19

I need to have lower lid surgery. Tear trough filler worked well for one eye but not the other as I have a fat pad there which fillers can't hide. Any recommendations?

liz70 · 04/08/2016 00:38

I was going to say none, then I remembered that my top front teeth used to have rather worn and jagged edges. On a visit to my (NHS) dentist, he slapped some paste stuff on them which hardened to look and act like natural enamel, so my teeth now appear more regular. Not exactly surgery, but the closest I've come to permanent cosmetic alteration.

Bingybongybashy · 04/08/2016 16:39

Anyone had an upper eyelid lift?

Smile4 · 26/02/2017 19:39

Hi. Has anyone had a breast enlargement or tummy tuck in Prague? If you have would you please let me know your experience and any recomendations you have for a good plastic surgeon. Thank you :)

Thingsgettingstranger · 26/02/2017 19:55

Had a breastfeeding reduction. Went private. Best thing I ever did. Dd also wants one when she is older, but she's still got some time to think.

Thingsgettingstranger · 26/02/2017 19:57
