Just curious as it seems to be everywhere nowadays but I'm not sure if this is a realistic perception. Is it just celebrities or is it us normal folk too? I think I'd be tempted if I had the money although not sure I'd actually go through with it because of the fear of it going wrong (infection, looking worse than before etc.).

I had a breast reduction in my 20s. Totally worth it. That was 20 years ago and no doubt the op would even better now as surgery is so much more advanced. Wouldn't hesitate in getting rid of the hideous post-caesarean wine belly if I could afford it. Not sure about the face - possibly fillers, but worried that I would get addicted.

I am 20 years old and when I was 16 I had cosmetic surgery "down below", not just for cosmetic reasons (although this was a big factor for me), but I was a keen horse rider and the size of my labia was meaning they were getting incredibly painful whenever I rode.

Since then, I have seen multiple posts about how women shouldn't think about getting labiaplasty, how we should love ourselves like we are etc, but four years on and it was the best decision I've ever made. I have absolutely no regrets and I am happy to this day with my decision.

Okay so this thread started in 2014 but booobs. Best thing I have ever, ever done.
Changed my life

PooWillyBumBum · 01/08/2019 14:29

I had my ears pinned back when I was 7...does that count!?

Apart from that, no, but if I ever got a big apron from childbirth or empty boobs I would definitely consider it.

Daffodildainty · 01/08/2019 22:21

I had Botox at 53 and a type of filler that makes your own colagen reactivate to remove my marionette lines and the bits that were starting to drag on either side of my mouth. All really successful - I look like a good version of me. Used an excellent cosmetic doctor (not cheap) - totally worth it

PurpleFlower1983 · 01/08/2019 22:25

I’m 36 now and although I don’t look too bad for my age, I could definitely do with a bit of Botox got the forehead and crow’s feet!

Milie353 · 25/09/2019 08:25

I have had tummy tuck recently and I love it. I lost the weight very fast and my skin was left very saggy especially at my tummy. However this surgery costs quite lot i found it for better price abroad and had it done there. I was little scared but dr. Benes did the surgery very precisely and the scar is looking also good. If I had to I would do it again.

Muddyme14 · 17/07/2020 15:29

has anyone travelled abroad for surgery? I am considering going to poland for a tummy tuck, it is less than half the price than in the uk, just not sure what to do!

Holly333 · 23/04/2021 11:21

I had my surgery abroad but it was about 3 years ago. Yes it is true that cost for the surgery is much better than in the UK. I had breast lift in Prague and I was very happy there. Everyone at Forme clinic was very nice and caring, so I did not have any doubt. I would say the care was probably better than in the hospital I stayed once in the UK. But of course, it depends on the clinic and also the people who work there.

@Annarose2014

I can see myself considering an eyelid lift when I'm older. I've observed the op in real life, and I'll never forget this elderly woman coming in with eyelids so low and droopy she could barely see, and then waking up still in theatre and looking around at us all bright eyed. Amazing.
It’s not cosmetic surgery if she needed the op to see properly.
60sbird · 23/04/2021 12:09

I had a breast augmentation done 13 years ago, I didn’t need to tell anyone about it as I went from a small B to an E so it was obvious to anyone that knew me

VegCheeseandCrackers · 23/04/2021 12:49

I haven't had anything and always thought definitely not, but as I'm approaching 30 I've got little crows feet starting 😱 so maybe a little botox in a few years if I can get over being freaked out about needles in my face.

Brainwave89 · 23/04/2021 12:53

Depends what we classify as plastic surgery. No boob or nose work, but I have found botox very useful. IMO perfectly fine as long as you do not over do it.

greeneyedlulu · 23/04/2021 12:58

Havent but would have my boobs done and double chin removed!

april2021namechange · 23/04/2021 13:09

Another labiaplasty . Life changing - extremely painful afterwards though . If I had the cash I’d get a tummy tuck and lipo too .

OlympicProcrastinator · 23/04/2021 13:14

Breast reduction. Not for cosmetic reasons but because of posture and constant harassment. So abnormally disproportionate they were that the NHS did it for me. Life changing.

Babygotblueyes · 23/04/2021 13:36

Breast reduction changed my life. I hadnt realized how uncomfortable i was before.

Lemonyfuckit · 23/04/2021 14:27

I'm 39 and have recently had my first sprinkle of Botox and fillers and I love the result. Very very natural, just a bit smoother and lifted.

An0n0n0n · 23/04/2021 15:20

I might get some botox to maintain my smooth face but I don't want to improve anything. I'll also get a small lip fill when in 50/60 and the volume starts to go.
