No gloating.
No blaming.

Just appreciation for a huge turnout and a peaceful process.

ffallada it's all kicking off, my brother works on Queen Street, I hope he gets his arse home sharpish.

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 21:50

You're being a bully. Back off, it's not fair and it's not warranted. You've been rude to me several times over the last couple of days. Just because I voted no does not mean you are entitled to treat me like shit

I'm sorry if you did not get an innocent joke. But that is all it was.

WildThrong · 19/09/2014 21:51

A friend has just called me - better together (the orange order, skin heads and generally people wearing union jacks

That isn't BT, it's yobs fighting. I think you knew that though.

Roseformeplease · 19/09/2014 21:52

Bit unfair to call it an "In joke". These threads got up to, I think, Indyref16 or something. They got fractious, argumentative, conciliatory and were, occasionally, funny and a bit crude. Actually, all the things I love about this site. But some of us have been arguing with / alongside each other for weeks. Anyone was welcome.

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 19/09/2014 21:53

starwars you 'feed' off of winding people up, just stop it, you are making an arse of yourself and being offensive to boot.

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 21:53

Those yobs don't represent BT and No voters any more than the idiot who hollered deaths threats at a 64 year old woman represented Yes voters.

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 19/09/2014 21:54

ffallada don't be disingenuous. You know it's not 'Better Together' behind this.

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 19/09/2014 21:56

Night secret hope you get some sleep and have a good weekend Flowers

frankie80 · 19/09/2014 21:58

there are yessers and loyalists in george square.

The yessers on here and on fb are saying it's entirely BT people who are stirring up trouble

Stop lying to help your failed cause.

Its not 'better together', its BOTH loyalists/order and yessers.

starwarslegoboy · 19/09/2014 21:59

It's really funny how the bullying stuff is offensive now, when you have ignored it throughout the campaign.

Don't call the bully on me, you have scolded most of the posters on these threads at one tine or another

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 22:03

Now which is it? Have I ignored the bullying, or have I scolded people. Cos you can't have both. I have not ignored bullying, I've called people on it. Yes, I've commented if I thought people are out of line - anytime someone said something inappropriate and it wasn't commented on by "their side" then people would shout that it wasn't being picked up on. So I picked up on it. Apparently that's not right either. One of the reasons the threads managed not to descend in to rampant tribalism and abuse is because lots of people on both sides would comment of people were being rude, inappropriate or abusive.

I don't know what your problem is with me, and I don't actually care anymore.
Just leave me alone.

starwarslegoboy · 19/09/2014 22:04

Ok. Will do

giraffescantboogie · 19/09/2014 22:07

I feel sick at all this fighting! :(

A friend has just posted this on FB - "I've just seen someone from one side threatening to burn my friend for the way she voted and I've just seen a video of vile abuse by the other side. Folk burning flags from both sides. "

BURN her for way she voted? Seriously? :( This is awful.

Iggi999 · 19/09/2014 22:09

Scotsman and Herald websites both seem to suggest trouble initiates by pro-union side. Rangers casuals basically IMO.

HUNDREDS of pro-Union demonstrators descended tonight on Glasgow’s George Square.
A number of them were members of the Scottish Defence League (SDL) who held aloft Union flags and chanted loyalist songs.
Dozens of police officers, some on horseback, were called in to separate the demonstrators from Yes campaigners who had peacefully gathered in the square throughout the day

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 22:10

There is a lot of it doing the rounds just now giraffescantboogie

WildThrong · 19/09/2014 22:11

Stupid idiots. Shameful. The lot of them should be arrested.

Iggi999 · 19/09/2014 22:11

Sorry that was from Scotsman. Herald spoke of people arriving by train in what seemed to be a pre-arranged protest.

Bowlersarm · 19/09/2014 22:12

giraffe unfortunately I think this was always going to happen whichever way the vote went. Emotions, adrenaline, anger, passion just too high. And no doubt all mixed with a good dose of alcohol by now. It was always advisable to keep a low profile after last night for a few days. It'll pass.

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 22:20

I'd say you're right Bowlersarm. I'm just hoping people calm down a bit - both in terms of the nonsense in George Square but also in terms of them blaming and anger at the "other side".

starwarslegoboy · 19/09/2014 22:20

It's the Loyalists. They were allowed to march in Edinburgh last week. They think the 'Fenians' voted Yes, so they are triumphant in the No vote. Bizarrely , and of course anecdotally, the genuine 'Fenian's appear to have voted No.

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 19/09/2014 22:25

They shouldn't be allowed to hold the Union Flag. Bastards.

LovleyRitaMeterMaid · 19/09/2014 22:25

I think I deserve the credit for Tommy on the sunbed actually! I posted it almost two weeks ago after a rousing session public meeting with him.

Credit where credits due and all that please! Wink

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 22:26

You are more than welcome to the credit for Tommy! Please, take him back! Grin
