This is continuation of the previous threads. I'm hoping this can be a thread for civilised debate and discussion from people on both sides of the voting line, and where undecided voters can come and chat and get opinions.

Some of the previous threads have gone downhill. So for the sake of a good discussion can everyone please try to avoid nasty comments about the other side? References to Nazis, people being selfish, stupid, thick etc don't help anyone. This vote will be over and the votes counted in about 48 hours. After that we have to pull together whatever the outcome.

Fontella's last post there reveals the 'spitefulness', Latte. Arrogant dismissiveness.

Any country with an unsure constitution v regional desires will be watching this with a good deal of interest eg Spain and the Catalans, Italy and the Northern League. I'd suggest Fonetella is reading the wrong/uninformed boards.

squoosh has a file of special photographs.....

NCforAye · 17/09/2014 23:36

squoosh and WildThong

Haha! I think squoosh was referring to getting to thread 14 tonight...?

Anyway, as for nights of passion, my poor DH is first in line post-referendum. I've been too busy thinking about sexy stuff like currency and polling stations to be in the mood for weeks. Blush

StatisticallyChallenged · 17/09/2014 23:36

OneNight, all I can say is Saturday night indyref threads go a bit wrong. There was a discussion about the shagability of various politicians. Google images was applied carelessly by all parties. Nightmare resulted.

NC yes I'd like to get to thread 14 before!

My closing thoughts. I hope it's a No. I will be completely and irrevocably devastated if the UK splits.

But if it's a significant Yes majority, I'll have to just get on with it, such is life in a democracy. And I will start campaigning for Gordon Brown to lead an iScotland, whether he wants to or not because I think he'd steer us to a level position. He's not an amateur, like all the rest of them.

Looking forward to camping out with you all tomorrow night, DH is just going to sleep and wake up to the result, pansy. Hmm

Good luck everyone. May the best team win!

NCforAye · 17/09/2014 23:37

WildThong

Binders full of them, perhaps?

Luckytwo · 17/09/2014 23:37

Good luck, people of Scotland !!

WildThong · 17/09/2014 23:38

Enough to put you off for life, those pictures..

squoosh · 17/09/2014 23:39

Sorry NC. I should have had Tango Tommy on the list. He's ready and fragrant.

OneNight · 17/09/2014 23:39

Good night Santana. I'll probably have voted and have succumbed to the charms of that whisky bottle by the time you return so may not be here. I may even miss Tommy and the sunbed for ever whatever it is.

NCforAye · 17/09/2014 23:40

BakerStreetSaxRift

I think whatever the result, Gordon Brown should be the next FM, and should be heavily involved in the negotiation process for Scotland if we get a Yes. In the event of a No he'd hold Westminster to promises of further powers and in the event of a Yes he'd be an excellent negotiator. I have a lot of respect for Brown.

OneNight · 17/09/2014 23:41

I wish I hadn't mentioned it now.

WildThong · 17/09/2014 23:41

Eeewwww! He's hairy too.

squoosh that your arm in the foreground ?

NCforAye · 17/09/2014 23:41

squoosh

Mumsnet doesn't have an appropriate smiley for the face I'm making right now, so I'll just drown myself in Wine Wine Wine

squoosh · 17/09/2014 23:42

No that's Gail. Wherever Tommy goes, Gail goes too. A BOGOF if you will.

WildThong · 17/09/2014 23:44

Isn't there usually a third person?

Anyway, we've made it, tomorrow's the day. See you all then. Good luck.

Night night

MeirAiaNeoAlibi · 17/09/2014 23:44

The non-Tory English are scared witless that the Scots are so fed up of constantly being stuck with Conservative governments that there'll be a YES vote just to get rid of them. Not that we could really blame you for it.

So if Scotland do a runner and leave us stranded with a Conservative majority that's forever guaranteed... are there going to be arrangements for the massive influx of English who can't face those consequences?

OneNight · 17/09/2014 23:45

It's abnormally quiet outside now. I can hear a few cars on the motorway in the distance but nothing has passed this house for some time.

OneNight · 17/09/2014 23:46

Sleep well WildThong and see you again tomorrow or Friday.

WildThong · 17/09/2014 23:48

.

NCforAye · 17/09/2014 23:49

MeirAiaNeoAlibi

The majority of the Labour govts formed since the war would still have been elected even if the Scottish votes hadn't been there. The historical statistics, anyway, suggest that a permanent Conservative majority is one thing that doesn't need to be worried about.

NCforAye · 17/09/2014 23:50

Sleep well all!

leavesalmondoutofit · 17/09/2014 23:53

I likes cheese and I am definitely not spiritual, well sometimes on the inside "hic" Grin

ShakesBootyFlabWobbles · 17/09/2014 23:54

Really interesting threads, just wanted to wish all the voting folk all the best for tomorrow. Thanks

Everyone in my network in Surrey is hoping for no as am I, but democracy must take place and we'll all just get on with whatever comes on Friday morning.

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 17/09/2014 23:56

NCforAye so Friday could either be a very good day for DH or signal a few more days of errr - sorting himself out. I bet he's voting YES Grin
