I took my D.D and nephew out the other day and we had a game of crazy golf. My nephew is 21 months old. Anyway we were behind this family. Now keep in mind my D.N is 21 months old a baby doesn't know any different or about patience ect which no-one would expect him to.
Anyway to get straight to the point D.N hit the golf ball and this grown man turned around and went (to a baby keep in mind). It's my turn first. I looked at him like he had 10 heads and said. "He's a baby". He just gave me a look and carried on playing.

Oh and he didn't say it in a jokey way. He was deadly serious. He looked the type that wouldn't laugh if the chairs and tables did a merry dance.

Did your nephew hit the ball towards where they were?

I don't entirely follow the story (sorry, it's late) but if the man was nothing to do with you and your nephew was queue jumping, what did you expect him to do? He can't play while your nephew is hitting the ball around and it's annoying having to wait behind slow groups. And the only way children learn to take turns is by bring taught.

He was trying to play with his family. You let a one year old get in his way. You should have kept your nephew under control.

Well he sounds a twat but to be honest I wouldn't take a baby of that age to play crazy golf. It's a bit too young.

Why did your small child get anywhere near enough the man to get in his way? Keep better control.

Yes, he's a baby, he said something stupid if he wanted to make a baby understand, but really, you shouldn't have let the kid get near. Did you apologise?

No I didn't apologise. I'm not apologising for a baby being a baby. He offered me no apology for the way he spoke to my D.N. I doubt he's have me snap at his children.

Babies act like babies. That's why they tend to need an adult with them who acts accordingly.

You should've had more control over your nephew. What would have happened if thean had swung his golf club and hit your nephew in the face? That would have been your fault for not keeping hold of your nephew whilst you all waited your turn.

Your sister and BIL would go nuclear because a man said it was host turn to your nephew!. It sounds like you all need to grow up tbh!

I understand the situation, I think, in that you had no intention of trying to bother this man, and you were probably on the way to bring back your nephew anyway when the man said this thing to your nephew, but really he didn't do anything apart from say 'my turn first' in a grumpy manner... what do you want from that? Not everybody is a baby lover I'm afraid. Try pulling an 'oops!' face at your nephew and leaving it at that? I doubt he had any idea of what was happening...

I don't need anyone to hold my hand thank you very much. I suppose all your children neices and nephews never put a foot wrong.

How will your nephew learn it isn't his turn yet if nobody tells him?

I was playing crazy golf with my DH and teenage sons recently.
There was this family behind us with very young children, who kept coming and messing around on the hole that we were playing on. Seriously bloody annoying when the parents did so little to keep the children where they were supposed to be.
When my kids were that young, I wouldn't have taken them to play crazy golf, it would have been pointless, and when they were old enough to play I wouldn't let them disturb other people's games. That's just selfish.

You let a toddler interrupt someone else's game (which presumably they had paid for) and not only think that the man should have just let the toddler get on with it, but you also see no need to apologise?
