As title really, its tomorrow and chatting to him now, but its going to be a disaster. I've been sucked in by a pretty face. Am I being too picky?

I thought Tinder was more about - er, hooking up, than Deep Relationship material? Mind you, I'm an old gimmer. They should start one for us, called Cinder.

DoctorTwo · 15/09/2014 10:33

I'd like to point out that soup is good food. I'd link to the song, but I'm not sure if it's appropriate. Sad

iklboo · 15/09/2014 10:54

Garlic - you could split it into 'Cinder-Ellas' and 'Cinder-fellas'. Wink

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 15/09/2014 10:56

I have a friend who has ridiculously high standards and has been single for about ten years. And wonders why.

There's a difference between having standards and being stupidly picky.

GarlicSeptimus · 15/09/2014 11:18

I like it, iklboo! There's a fortune to be made, right there!

icanmakeyouicecream · 15/09/2014 11:22

No wonder why you have to use dating sites.

trevortrevorslattery · 15/09/2014 11:24

Hee. Tinned factory soup is the devil but "fresh" soup is ok.. do you mean Covent Garden etc? Where do you think they make that?

sarahighseas · 15/09/2014 11:33

I think they make it in Peterborough, obviously.

poolomoomon · 15/09/2014 11:44

Tinned soup is alright as long as it's Amy's kitchen.

The Berlin thing is bad. My DH did ask me once when we first met if France was in Europe. I've only just started letting him live that down now tbh. He's not from Europe so I thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt but mock him mercilessly for the entirety of our relationship Grin.

WarblingOyster · 15/09/2014 11:47

What if he calls you Heinz whilst he's got you up a wall in a back alley? (Tinder version of making love)

GarlicSeptimus · 15/09/2014 11:53

What if he calls you Heinz whilst he's got you up a wall in a back alley?

She'll have to call him Microwave, since he made her hot?

GarlicSeptimus · 15/09/2014 11:56

Just realised that's a missing experience from my life! I tried it, but I kept falling down Hmm Should have tried a narrower alley, or worn higher heels.
I need someone to invent Cinder, sharpish!

WarblingOyster · 15/09/2014 11:59

Garlic Grin
You need one of these young Tinder guys, they'll keep you up!

gingee · 15/09/2014 12:00

If you cancel you might be doing HIM a favour... Open your mind a bit, you might be surprised!

iklboo · 15/09/2014 12:01

Just misread in a back alley for something ENTIRELY different. Grin

ithoughtofitfirst · 15/09/2014 12:03

pobble massive difference.

Bigot? Avoid. Violent? Run a mile. Cheat? LTB. Eats soup every day? You get the picture OP.

minniebar · 15/09/2014 12:04

Has anyone made the joke about whether or not he takes your breath away? Grin

BeggingYourPardon · 15/09/2014 12:30

Lets just say If I was looking for a 'good time' with a 22 year old on Tinder (lets not say date here, because really??) I wouldn't be grilling them on geographical locations or debating the pros and cons of a tin of soup vs a big mac for lunch.

I'd be asking how long he could hold his breath for and can I have a picture of his young manly bicep please???

gingee · 15/09/2014 12:34

young manly bicep

sunnyrosegarden · 15/09/2014 12:56

How does this Tinder thing work then? Do you ask a list of questions or is it more chatty? I can see how tinned soup might crop up in conversation...

"going for lunch now; tinned soup....mmm, love it, have it every day..."

But how did Berlin crop up?

LineRunner · 15/09/2014 13:00

"I think they make it in Peterborough" Grin

YouTheCat · 15/09/2014 13:01

Does he know where Peterborough is?

QueenTilly · 15/09/2014 13:08

But Cambridge considers BTECs in engineering! How apposite that you should have been concerned about a partner with a BTEC in engineering. Shock

I bought some soup this morning. I'm just about to have it with some bread from Sainsbury's in-store bakery. While reading a book that mentions Berlin. Grin

Oldraver · 15/09/2014 13:11

He's a 22 year old wanting to go on a date with someone 10 years I bet its more older than them.

And you are being picky ?

puntasticusername · 15/09/2014 13:17

Oh, WHY did you say Peterborough and not Felixstowe? Then I could have done the "Where is it? Why, on the end of Felix' foot, obviously" joke.
