To block this car in...

I'm at my mum's. she lives on a a fairly narrow hill, you can park on the road but it's best if you park half on the pavement. I'm going camping for the weekend with friends who are coming to pick me up in an hour. I've just popped to the shops for supplies of crisps and wine and some cheeky bugger has parked on my mum's drive.

I've text all my family and no one has any knowledge of this car. Would I be a total arse to just reverse onto the drive right upto their bumper and leave my car there for the weekend? I really don't want to leave my car half on the pavement for a whole weekend. A few of the NDNs have double buggies and there won't be enough room for them to pass. I also don't want to leave my shiny lovely car under the tree on the road cos it will be covered in bird poo and tree sap when I get back.

Mum is also away this weekend too so I can't even leave the keys. Grrrrrr.

LottieJenkins · 16/08/2014 19:06

What a crock of sh....t the update is!! Hmm

tryingtocatchthewind · 16/08/2014 19:07

To be fair I'm sure your update is far more exciting than what the real life one will be, after all the hype it's bound to be dull

pictish · 16/08/2014 19:08

Still hoping for a punch up here, or that very least strong language.

Out of curiosity, could OP have hired a tow truck to come and tow the car from mom's driveway? It's private property, the car presumably has no business being there. I might have done that, if it wasn't cost prohibitive.

Stealthpolarbear · 16/08/2014 19:27

Actual update likely to be

It's uncle johns friends car. He asked for permission to leave it here three years ago and assumed it was an open ended agreement

headlesslambrini · 16/08/2014 19:29

Place marking as going away tomorrow and I need yo know what happens

Tanith · 16/08/2014 19:29

Wow! You mean, when you were hopping up and down in the drive, you were actually hopping up and down on a load of stolen diamonds? Shock

Respect!

SirChenjin · 16/08/2014 19:29

I'm going for the OP's Mum's Fancy Man's mate's car (lot of apostrophes there..)

It will be something very boring, and we will all hunt down the OP and kill her for making us wait so long for non-news

UncrushedParsley · 16/08/2014 19:31

Lottie I agree with you. Suddenly everyone's a comedian. This is serious people!

Tanith · 16/08/2014 19:31

This thread will probably be full of place markers by the time OP gets back and we'll never know because she'll start a new thread on the one day we all forget to check mumsnet and we'll die cold, lonely and unknowing.
