I'm at my mum's. she lives on a a fairly narrow hill, you can park on the road but it's best if you park half on the pavement. I'm going camping for the weekend with friends who are coming to pick me up in an hour. I've just popped to the shops for supplies of crisps and wine and some cheeky bugger has parked on my mum's drive.

I've text all my family and no one has any knowledge of this car. Would I be a total arse to just reverse onto the drive right upto their bumper and leave my car there for the weekend? I really don't want to leave my car half on the pavement for a whole weekend. A few of the NDNs have double buggies and there won't be enough room for them to pass. I also don't want to leave my shiny lovely car under the tree on the road cos it will be covered in bird poo and tree sap when I get back.

Mum is also away this weekend too so I can't even leave the keys. Grrrrrr.

My money is still on a simple explanation. I don't think OP did hear back from her mum?

Totally marking my place.

This is such a perfect parking thread I almost don't believe it's true.

Cerisier · 16/08/2014 14:15

It is a strange one, no mistake. Looking forward to hearing all after the camping trip.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 16/08/2014 14:17

I've just read 22 pages and we still don't know who the car belongs to! Aarrggghhh!

It must have been claimed by now though, surely? If not it's more abandonment than parking Confused.

Come on OP. Get out of your sleeping bag & on to the WiFi Grin.
