to go back the hospital?

I am 40+12 and yet one more night of absolutely fuck all happening has tipped me over the edge. I am sick of being patient.

I am booked for induction on Wednesday (my choice - I wanted to give the baby the chance to come spontaneously).

My parents leave today not having met their new grandchild Sad . I will have precisely no other visitors when the baby does arrive.

I have felt a reduction in movement since yesterday which my mother assured me was him getting ready to come imminently but that everything online says not to accept as normal.

DP was in a cycling accident on Friday and has fractured his wrist and needs surgery this weekend which means I will be totally alone with no help with DD and a brand new baby in the first days of his life.

I woke up today and burst into tears.

AIBU to go to the Maternity Assessment Centre without ringing first (the person I spoke to last time was so stupid she couldn't manage to write my name down after THREE attempts) and have them check the baby is ok?

Also can I ask for a sweep there?

I had one a week ago on Friday which did nothing.

Sorry for rambling. It's hard to type in a phone through tears.

Can anyone offer me any experience or advice?

Absoloutely beautiful! And just in case you are having trouble finding a name for him a baby bunny is a kit (short for kitten) so how about Kit?

BunnyLebowski · 14/08/2014 10:11

Thank you everyone Grin Grin .

We're still here but in typical stubborn Bunny fashion I'm on the verge of self discharge. The alternative is hanging around indefinitely (probably till tonight) waiting on a doctor to review me and a paed to check the baby. I haven't seen DD properly in days and just want to go home Sad.

Aw, Bunny, I know the feeling.

Having said that, I was allowed to stay in hospital for 10 days after DS2's premature emCS delivery, not because I was at all unwell, but because he was in NICU, I was trying to express for him and it was technically easier for me to be close by.
When I eventually did go home the reality of looking after DS1 hit me rather hard Grin - I had not factored in how a tender CS scar would hold me back

Can your DD come to see you in the hospital? Can you find a way to enjoy the enforced rest?
We'll entertain you here - some MNers are v witty indeed. We could tell you jokes?
