to go back the hospital?

I am 40+12 and yet one more night of absolutely fuck all happening has tipped me over the edge. I am sick of being patient.

I am booked for induction on Wednesday (my choice - I wanted to give the baby the chance to come spontaneously).

My parents leave today not having met their new grandchild Sad . I will have precisely no other visitors when the baby does arrive.

I have felt a reduction in movement since yesterday which my mother assured me was him getting ready to come imminently but that everything online says not to accept as normal.

DP was in a cycling accident on Friday and has fractured his wrist and needs surgery this weekend which means I will be totally alone with no help with DD and a brand new baby in the first days of his life.

I woke up today and burst into tears.

AIBU to go to the Maternity Assessment Centre without ringing first (the person I spoke to last time was so stupid she couldn't manage to write my name down after THREE attempts) and have them check the baby is ok?

Also can I ask for a sweep there?

I had one a week ago on Friday which did nothing.

Sorry for rambling. It's hard to type in a phone through tears.

Can anyone offer me any experience or advice?

Good Luck! Thanks

Fingers crossed LazyBabyBunny sticks around for long enough that a space is free at your preferred hospital!

PacificDogwood · 11/08/2014 22:47

Oh, good luck, hope all is very well and very active.
Get checked out and then refuse decline to leave. Or say "I can feel his head, he is coming, he is coming'. That line worked for me (15min from arrival in overfull labour ward to DS4's arrival)
Thanks

I expect to sniff a BabyBunny's head in the morning, you hear?!

OwnerOfAnInsanePuppy · 11/08/2014 22:54

Good luck!

Awesome OP Have a health birth.

I think OP has a high pain threshold and will have the baby soon by midday tomorrow.

SistersOfPercy · 11/08/2014 23:01

When ds was born I lived with my parents. I'd done something similar and warned dad he'd be getting a knock in the night. At half three I sheepishly knocked on the door and he told me to "bugger off you aren't funny" Grin
I finally convinced him I was serous and ds arrived the following morning at half eleven.

So here's sending you some good 'waking dad'vibes.

Geordiegirl79 · 11/08/2014 23:01

Ooooh so exciting, looking forward to an update!

It is my waters! Woo and eeek!

Everything fine with baby and still no pain so I'm off home again. Will try and have a sleep and maybe a bath and more toast.

Head sniffing a definite - just form an orderly queue and I'll pass him along Grin .

Shall we do a guessing game of what time Baby Bunny will be born!! My guess is contractions starting between 1am-2am and born by 4am Smile

Patilla · 11/08/2014 23:51

I've only had c sections so my knowledge of labour times is limited to anecdotal information and trashy tv but book me down for guessing at the 10-11am slot for the birth.

Patilla · 11/08/2014 23:52

What do we win incidentally?

can it be a newborn hug, can it? Can it?

lurkingaround · 11/08/2014 23:59

Shameless place marking.Blush. So exciting.

Good luck, hope you sail through it.

YeahItsMe · 12/08/2014 00:06

Marking place, Im excited!

Id say baby bunny will be here at 6:45am Grin

MissSmiley · 12/08/2014 00:06

I knew from all the tears in your first post that things were imminent - I always had a big cry just before labour started :-)
Also didn't kick off with first until 14 days over.

Good luck and keep us posted...

Smooshface · 12/08/2014 00:23

Get some sleep and good luck!

BunnyLebowski · 12/08/2014 00:24

Oooh Liquid I'll happily take that timeline Grin .

Home now eating more toast and watching Archer. The midwife was really great.

My waters are still going but I'm feeling generally really good. Going to try and get some kip (with lots of towels underneath me!).

Where the hell are my contractions??!!
