to go back the hospital?

I am 40+12 and yet one more night of absolutely fuck all happening has tipped me over the edge. I am sick of being patient.

I am booked for induction on Wednesday (my choice - I wanted to give the baby the chance to come spontaneously).

My parents leave today not having met their new grandchild Sad . I will have precisely no other visitors when the baby does arrive.

I have felt a reduction in movement since yesterday which my mother assured me was him getting ready to come imminently but that everything online says not to accept as normal.

DP was in a cycling accident on Friday and has fractured his wrist and needs surgery this weekend which means I will be totally alone with no help with DD and a brand new baby in the first days of his life.

I woke up today and burst into tears.

AIBU to go to the Maternity Assessment Centre without ringing first (the person I spoke to last time was so stupid she couldn't manage to write my name down after THREE attempts) and have them check the baby is ok?

Also can I ask for a sweep there?

I had one a week ago on Friday which did nothing.

Sorry for rambling. It's hard to type in a phone through tears.

Can anyone offer me any experience or advice?

Yay good news.
Keep us updated please.

SpottyTeacakes · 11/08/2014 09:36

Well that all sounds promising. Glad you're feeling better Smile

WienerDiva · 11/08/2014 09:38

Bunny, I remember feeling like you do (I wasn't even over, just fed up with SPD).

Anyway, fingers crossed that something happens within the next 48 hours.

Good luck Thanks

SecretSpy · 11/08/2014 09:44

Glad it's reassuring news. It seems like you have been pregnant forever! I'm old but nc a lot. Hope it goes smoothly for you

callamia · 11/08/2014 19:28

Come ON BunnyBaby!
I was you ten months ago, the second sweep and a long walk up a steep hill did it for me. I wish you a snuggly new baby asap Smile

BunnyLebowski · 11/08/2014 19:35

Thanks for the kind wishes everyone Smile.

Nothing much to report. I've had loads of TMI bloody snotty stuff coming away and loads more tightenings but absolutely zero pain Confused.

My lovely Dad has decided to stay to help us with DD which is fantastic. My Mum had to go home but has booked to fly back over on Friday for the weekend so it won't be too long before she meets LazyBunnyBabyâ„¢ Grin.

I've been out walking and shopping, have hoovered and mopped my floors and made dinner.

I'm feeling pretty zen. Even if I have to wait till Wednesday that's only another day and a bit. I've made it this far - I can go a bit longer. Soon enough I'll have my wee man in my arms. And I've teared up now. Bloody hormones!

Seriouslyffs · 11/08/2014 21:19

Good Luck

AtYourCervix · 11/08/2014 21:24

I'm here! Gloves ready!

Keep breathing.

In fact Go To Bed! Hopefully you'll get a few hours kip then wake up and get on with it.

Also eat loads. Carb load. Chocolate. Drink!

BunnyLebowski · 11/08/2014 21:36

Grin I'm filling my face with toast and perving at Jessie Pavelka on some weight loss show.

Have just got DD showered and into bed and warned my Dad that he might be getting a knock in the night.

I've gone through 3 more pads with what I can only describe as clear gunge Confused. It couldn't be my waters could it? Definitely not a huge sploosh onto the carpet like with DD - more a couple of big pad filling emissions over the last half hour?

Still no pain though.

OH LAWDY!!
