If got some friends staying and they keep having 40 wish mins of showering a day. A part from anything this can't be great for their skin but this is costing 1.60 a day in water with the meter and 1.40 in electric per person. Should I say something? Staying with for a week

DP stays in for about 20 mins and it infuriates me. There's no need for it. Then he says my 5 minute shower was 'quick' as though I've not cleaned properly. If I had 20mins I'd have a bath!

YANBU. Two showers a day are unnecessary, 10 min's is about right IMO. waste of water and self indulgent. Unless you got soaked in the rain, been exercising or about to shag a new man.

I use the Vic water saver egg timer in the shower. It's set for 4 minutes and I've never got anywhere near that time.

I might shower twice a day if I get lucky though Grin

"Yuk, I cant believe some of you don't shower twice a day. It's basic cleanliness."

No it isn't. Most people I know shower once a day. Unless you get dirty or sweaty I don't think it is necessary. You sound a little too fastidious.

OnlyLovers · 12/08/2014 18:43

Even if I was in the habit of showering twice a day, I wouldn't while staying with friends, unless I knew that was their habit too. It's thoughtless and selfish.

And from your subsequent posts, they sound generally unpleasant. Good riddance, I say!

This thread has had me humming Master of the House from Les Mis for the last couple of days. Especially in the shower! Grin
