I haven't watched this in years.

Good lord. Has there ever been a better - or fitter - bit of casting than this?

Much as I love Richard Armitage in North and South...

Darcy's hair alone has me going weak at the knees though the wine may have something to do with that too

Oh yay, it worked!

emotionsecho · 11/08/2014 15:52

It certainly did work LucasGrin, thank you.

Let's face it, Gizzy tied to anything would be special.......smiles wistfully.

5Foot5 · 11/08/2014 16:26

5foot5, i've always wanted to watch Lost in Austen but never got round to it. Was it good?

Well I thought so. The sort of thing that shouldn't have worked and probably sounds silly when described but was, in fact, enormous fun.

squoosh · 11/08/2014 16:28

I thought Lost in Austen was a hoot.

snozzlemaid · 11/08/2014 16:59

HesterShaw I saw him filming Poldark too. Also got his autograph and had a little chat too. Grin
One of my many pics of him...

I'm so happy to have found this thread Grin. I'm going to scroll back through it ogle the pictures. Except the creepy statue.

Thurlow · 11/08/2014 17:09

Lost in Austen was a hell of a lot better than you'd think it would be

Aidan Turner in Being Human was gorgeous. I might have to dig out the boxset.
He had chemistry with both his roommates. And the bit with his old love in the first series? So bittersweet.

He was crap as Kili or Fili whichever one he was though.

But that Poldark thing (never saw the original) looks veeeeery promising.

I am loving all the images I have found on pinterest and in honour of your DD Thurlow, I am creating one called 'handsome men' so I can look at all the lovely images I have run out of mumsnet quota to show you Grin

PS can't make it past the first 20 mins of Lost in Austen, does it get better?

HesterShaw · 11/08/2014 18:25

I saw him filming Poldark too. Also got his autograph and had a little chat too

snozzle you total bitch that must have been lovely

:o

HesterShaw · 11/08/2014 18:27

That was in Charlestown, yes? I saw up down Porthgwarra though a pair of binoculars

HesterShaw · 11/08/2014 18:27

HIM not up. God.

Thurlow · 11/08/2014 18:30

Why thank you Emily

I shall take DD through every picture and make sure she can identify them all correctly!

Yes Hester, it was Charlestown.
I still can't believe I stood right next to him and chatted. He was walking up the road, right past me after filming. No one else bothered him for an autograph, but there was no way I was letting that opportunity pass me by.
Dp stood, tutting and rolling his eyes whilst I giggled like a school girl!

HesterShaw · 11/08/2014 18:56

I don't think I would have been able to stop stroking him adoringly. I'd probably have been arrested.

MonstersBalls · 12/08/2014 13:27

this thread has ruined me for 'normal' men Sad

SlightlyJadedJack · 12/08/2014 13:30

I'd quite liked to be ruined by Mr Thornton

Thurlow · 12/08/2014 13:45

Haven't read the whole thread but did anyone else do a massive double take on realising that Myrtle Logue in the King's Speech was Jennifer Ehle - it made the scene with the K & Q in the Logues' house utterly surreal (& David Bamber was in that too)

But back to CF's Mr Darcy - the scene where Lizzie plays piano with his sister & he smoulders at her across the room is even better than the wet breeches Shock

emotionsecho · 12/08/2014 21:09

SlightlyJaded I think there is a long queue who would like to be ruined by Mr Thornton or Lucas North or Guy of Gisborn.
