You should not wear them as trousers.
The amount of people I see wearing very see through leggings with little crop tops or tops that sit on the waist line with their knickers clearly on show is astounding. Do people not realise that this is akin to going out in just a pair of tights and short top? Do people even look in the mirror before they leave the house?

I saw someone wearing leggings so sheer the other day I could see every detail of her thong underwear. It was quite unpleasant - YANBU

I would normally agree whole heartedly; however DD (16) runs about dressing in footless tights, leotard, trainers & a leather jacket (or no jacket in this weather) usually to & from dance class

Yanbu - I think some genuinely don't realise just how see through they are in the light but others wear them like that knowing.
Equally awful are the denim hotpants with both arse cheeks hanging out.

I can almost understand that some people might not realise their leggings are a bit on the thin side and become see through in the light but some of them are so see through that there is no mistaking that they are see through. Tunic tops over them are fine, I just don't want to clearly see peoples thongs.

Wearing them to a dance class with a leotard is understandable. Wearing them to college with a crop top and visible thong is not ok.

I suspect a lot of people are in denial about the size of their arse. They look at the front, while sucking their gut in, and decide they look fine. They don't get their DP to tell them honestly how it looks from the back when they are walking.

I saw a woman wearing a pair that was roughly the color of her skin. On top of that, they were super-tight; she had a serious case of camel toe. I had to do a triple-take to make sure she wasn't naked from the waist down. Bad.

I've been walking up the stairs in the Tube before behind a girl in see-through leggings, polka dot underwear and a very visible sanitary twoel going skewiff out the side of her knickers. Blee.

I couldn't give a shit what other people wear, because a)I'm not perfect b) I don't get it right 100% and c) we've all worn daft things in our time!

Following on from skin coloured leggings - my aunt who is a forest keeper was once asked to look out for a nude cyclist in the forest. It turned out it was my topless uncle in nude coloured shorts. A decade later we still make streaker jokes at him.
