Teacher present - the horror story

Needtoemigrate · 17/07/2014 14:57

I need to emigrate - seriously. I thought I was super organised, present in, gift bagged and in the corner of my room weeks ago. Dd took in today for her teacher- along with a pair of mislaid knickers tucked nicely in the bag , serves me right for using floor as giant washing basket but oh the shame - especially as the teacher in question is a 25 ish year old male.
My dd is mortified, I could hide forever and still 1 more day of school to go .... Will I be fined if we break up early ??

Pissing myself op! Thanks for the laughs.

To make you feel better. I used to iron for Dhs family - I was doing their ironing one day and come across my knickers- unwashed!

I will never know if it was a pair from that week, or if they had actually been handed over to them along with the previous weeks ironed clothes...

I have never quite gotten over this.

On behalf of all teachers can I thank your for an awesome present Grin I have always said that it is the thought that counts and that the unusual gifts are the ones that stay in your memory!

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 17/07/2014 21:14

Good point Needto.

I don't suppose they are planning on doing "Jesus Christ Superstar" next Easter? She'd be a shoo-in for Mary Magdelene.......

BlackeyedSusan · 17/07/2014 21:17

email, apologise, blame your smallest child and their desire to hide things in bags. or your brothers idea of a joke. make up a brother, cousin other random relative....

GenerationX2 · 17/07/2014 21:20

Wait - sorry if I missed this bit - but how did you find out that the gift contained your knickers and did you get them back? Grin

Needtoemigrate · 17/07/2014 21:23

My dd handed them to me - in the school yard Blush yes he opened gift bag in class and they were nicely tucked inside along with the booze.

londonrach · 17/07/2014 21:36

Need to keeps giving. This story needs to go down in your family history and to be bought up when your dd gets married. (If you ok with)

Needtoemigrate · 17/07/2014 21:48

Ha ha tiny bit of me thinking - do I tell other mums ( wouldn't dare) but imagine how fun the competative out do each other mums would be, bra next year , sex toy in with the box of roses

FloatIsRechargedNow · 17/07/2014 22:06

Grin - nothing else to say. Hahahahahahaha

TortoiseUpATreeAgain · 17/07/2014 22:12

Tell all the other mums that you heard it happened to someone, but you don't know who.

Then if any of them hear a rumour that it was you they'll confidently say no, couldn't have been, Needto told me that she didn't know who it was but was trying to find out.

Needtoemigrate · 17/07/2014 22:18

Ooh good plan - I ll do it just before the removal can comes to help me move.

No , didn't bother with disguise - thought I d manage to sneak in and out unnoticed .....,didn't plan on several of the teachers standing there with a big smirky hi at me - ah well, they always comment on my kids having fantastic dry sense of humour , guess that's the reason - loose knickered mum Grin
