Are they the same?

It's got very confusing

I don't like the word bitchy. It's sexist.

I don't like the royals either.

OP posts:

Haha! I feel the urge (having never posted a picture on Mumsnet in my 8 years here or whatever the hell it is) to put a "how old do you think I am?" one up of me. I've just discovered how to share photos but the dc would hate me if I did them. Shall I? no, its probably not a good idea.

Picture wouldn't appear (there was "a problem uploading pictures" apparently) so you'll have to carry on imagining me in a crown.

footballagain · 10/07/2014 23:28

We have net blinds at the moment.

We also live on the Thames path. And at dusk with a light on in the room in your bra getting changed you just stand out like a bloody beacon to any stragglers or people driving by.

AlpacaLypse · 10/07/2014 23:30

I've been off doing Real Life for a large chunk of this evening, apologies for late arrival.

I am quite obviously and clearly Royalty, having been DameDeepRedBetty up until a couple of months ago, and my damery being awarded for sterling support during the (possibly fictional) PrincessPushy live birth thread that mysteriously coincided with Prince Georges's appearance last July.

Anyway, I'm a Lady of the Bedchamber, so jolly well there and no-one's ever going to take that one away from me!

AlpacaLypse · 10/07/2014 23:31

About 27 million xposts. Sorry

I don't even know what Jaffa cakes are.

I'm not getting shutters but hopefully new siding soon. Choosing a color is proving to be terrifying. I started a thread but hardly any of you vipers responded.

Also DH took a day off work so I've had to DO THINGS around the house all day so as to look like I don't spend hours mumsnetting normally. Tis exhausting and I don't care for it at all.

TillyTellTale · 10/07/2014 23:34

Well, one learns to draw the curtains before one switches on the lights. Well, mostly, I have! Grin Some of my family only have curtains. I hate it. People can always see in.

AlpacaLypse I considered the various permutations put forth at the beginning, and I think I am an Irregularly Bitchy Irregular. Where does this put me in the aristocratic hierarchy, do you think?

footballagain · 10/07/2014 23:34

Ha ha ha

Sorry, I missed the last few posts as it took me too long to work out how to 'put a line through things' (technical Confused)

But I think I have a couch. Am I very posh?

Mintyy · 10/07/2014 23:34

Nah, I look younger than that Mary.

footballagain · 10/07/2014 23:35

Shit, I missed loads of posts! Ignore me

IrianofWay · 10/07/2014 23:38

MN Royale would either be a green cocktail or a recipe involving chicken and some sort of cream-based sauce.

ADishBestEatenCold · 10/07/2014 23:39

I am neither Royalty, nor Bitchy (let's not examine that one too closely), nor do I feel qualified to compare my Regularity with that of others (note to self: eat more whole-grains).

Can I be the Devil's Advocate?

(or is that a drink)

CheerfulYank · 10/07/2014 23:39

Couches are posh? Doesn't everyone have a couch? Confused

IrianofWay · 10/07/2014 23:40

Sorry, that post was apropos of a general Royalty theme. Bit random maybe

LineRunner · 10/07/2014 23:40

That would be MN Diane, surely?

IrianofWay · 10/07/2014 23:42

Diane? Isn't that something raw? Or a ref to late princess ?

fourforksache · 10/07/2014 23:42

iriano, makes me think of coronation chicken {boak}, is that now the mn signature dish?

footballagain · 10/07/2014 23:44

Oh no, no, no, no.

You have a sofa, a settee or a couch.

Take your chances pick Grin

TillyTellTale · 10/07/2014 23:46

Hang on, my mother told me that the upper classes had settees, and that the try-hard aspiring middle classes had sofas.

I used to have a futon. It was hard and lumpy. Now i have two settees and one armchair. One day, when we win the lottery, I want a reclining armchair. And a house to put it in. Priorities, obvs.

Salmotrutta · 10/07/2014 23:48

CheerfulYank - I fear that many people on here will be mystified about the nature of "siding".

We don't really have siding over here - houses are generally brick or stone construction.

Is it aloominum siding? Grin

HoneyDragon · 10/07/2014 23:48

I don't have a cellar, I do have four sheds though. One to store garden stuff out the way, one to store dcs stuff out the way, one to store tools and work stuff out the way and one to store dh in out the way.
