I am new, can't remember when I joined, maybe a month or two ago. Haven't posted much though. But I did lurk for a long time before joining and yes, I did find Mumsnet because of penis beaker (and those are two words I never thought I'd be asssociating with each other).

When I joined I used to catch up on 'last 24 hours' in about an hour.

Ood I think you and Maryz should reintroduce this capability via a 'daily round up' thread. You can edit it together or alternately, I'm not fussy

How did the early joiners find Mumsnet in the early/mid 000's?

I didn't discover it until 2010 and the 'Mumsnet Election' stuff. Mind you we had dial-up til 2009 .

It's a shame; I was in a new country with young children and could have done with the (virtual) friends.
