Oh yes, I remember being able to catch up with all posts since I last logged in and also waiting for new posts on anything - anything at all.

I remember when saintlyjimjams first started posting about her family's experiences of autism in the family - it was such an eye opener. On a personal level, it really helped us when my son was later diagnosed as did her patience posts helping me research my son's needs later on.

One of the positive changes over the years I have found is the much greater acceptance of vegetarians. I remember early threads where people would argue that there was no need to make any allowances for vegetarian dinner guests or even children who had wanted to become vegetarians. Although they were in a minority, they didn't get ripped apart as they would now.

Oh, and despite never having been a huge fan of the poster cod, for some bizarre reason, I remember her first nickname which wasn't very fishy at all. It's all the more odd because as a general rule, I am terrible at remembering names.

JaceLancs · 15/06/2014 11:02

I am new to posting - but a long time lurker!

MrsItsNoworNotatAll · 15/06/2014 12:47

Mine is 641210 think I joined in May

MrsItsNoworNotatAll · 15/06/2014 12:47

I used to post on BMC but it folded.

Oodlives · 15/06/2014 13:44

Were you there in the days we used to cross over Mrs ?
MN /BMC used to get on quite well in times of server crashes crisis

MrsItsNoworNotatAll · 15/06/2014 14:11

Don't think so odds I joined BMC in 2007 and I'd heard of the crossovers but never joined in any of them.

Great place it was, shame it folded.

MrsItsNoworNotatAll · 15/06/2014 14:12

oods I mean, sorry! Blush

Fideliney · 15/06/2014 14:36

Cake Cake Cake for Ood

Spherical you've just reminded me that when I first lurked here eons and eons ago, I decided it wasn't for me because at that time I was a SAHM to toddlers hellbent on returning to work and there seemed to be a lot of WOHM bashing threads. Times change eh?

Spherical · 15/06/2014 15:03

Yes, I stopped reading the sahm v wohm mums threads as they got too repetitive and depressing.
