To think the School overreacted in Expelling Pupil and calling Police for a stunt, when a "bollocking would have been enough".

Jacob Dowdle, a year 13 Pupil at Altrincham Grammar school on the last day of term May 16, put a paper plate with whipped cream in to his year heads face.

This was a very "Stupid" thing to do, but no harm was meant or injury caused yet the school called the Police and summary expelled him. The teacher was seeking a prosecution for the stunt, when she was not injured The teacher although upset , should have had the grace to except that it was a poor stunt , ( or like most teachers on the last day taken it on the chin as overexcited students behaviour).

Just read Lawrence's blog and words fail me, what a pathetic self-serving load of tripe. Couldn't see any comments, like others I imagine he loves a bit of banter but can't cope with serious intelligent debate. Anyone else see traces of that knob of a salesman in The Office in Mr Jones?

Mr Jones really doens't grasp it does he, the whole bit about having an ex teacher employee of his pie Pie Boy as a 'revenge' proves his complete lack of understanding of the whole situation.

Will search link and e-mail my support for the teacher and school.

pebblyshit · 01/06/2014 15:57

Shock That blog is unbelievable. What a narcissistic arse. GirlS, banter, and he's still saying pranking instead of saying he HIT HER IN THE FACE.

Also, HANGED. The word is HANGED.

BoneyBackJefferson · 01/06/2014 15:58

So jones still believes that it is the schools fault for not setting sufficient boundaries, but then how can they set them when they are immediately overruled by dicks like jones.

He's not a little boy throwing a paper plate of custard at a big man, he's a 17 year old youth hitting a probably smaller and weaker woman in the face with a hard, chemical containing implement.
My son is 17 and if he did this I'd be grovelling to the school and angry with him for thinking he can treat a woman (or anyone) like this. His parents' response re the petition shows why he is how he is.
There seem to be alot of people who think he has no control over his facebook page content. It is easy to delete posts about you put up by other people on your page. If the friend is a real friend he'd have removed the video when asked, if he didn't then he's not much of a friend and I'd shop him and let him face some of the media aggro.

Well, a comment is up. With a response suggesting the BBC edited out an apology from the boy from their interview - seems a bit unlikely to me, plus why not make a media fuss about that? If he is sorry, why does the petition still stand?

He's put up two comments, and responded to each one. The first commentator "is in danger of becoming the bully" and the second is counselled that "teachers need to focus on the real issues". Jacob is "just a kid, with feelings" apparently.

Hole. Dig.

He's not 17. He's 18. So a grown, adult male in law as well as in physical reality.

Yes, but you're not listening to him you silly woman.

smokepole · 01/06/2014 16:51

If a 18 year old pupil had done the same thing 25-30 years ago to a female teacher, you can bet a male teacher would have probably smacked the pupil in the face. You can not compare those times with today, because they are totally different times. however, any pupil with a modicum of intelligence especially an 18 year old ( Grammar School Boy HA HA..) should be aware that with the tragic events in Leeds, any teacher is going to be spooked or alarmed when anything hits them unexpectedly .

Interesting that on his blog, everyone who disagrees with him is simply WRONG. He is the only person in the entire universe who knows the full story. Bizarre.

SnowinBerlin · 01/06/2014 16:52

Yes, and both the BBC and ITV manipulated the footage apparently. Hmm

EvilTwins · 01/06/2014 16:53

Course they did.

Sienna11 · 01/06/2014 17:06

It was a horrible, despicable and cowardly thing to do to a lovely lady. She is one of the best teachers my son had when he was at AGSB. She goes above and beyond the call of duty supporting the boys. She certainly did not deserve to be treated and humiliated like this. I agree with the school 100 percent on their stance.

smokepole · 01/06/2014 17:10

I suspect if he had been an exemplary student though out his 7 years at the school, the Jacob Dowdle spin department would have let us known.

For instance:

The mentoring of young pupils struggling with their studies.
Helping out with extra curricular activities and after school clubs
The selfless work for the school and local community undertaken by Jacob .

These are just a few of the things we would have heard about, from a spin department that New Labour would have been proud to have.

I can only hop that he never has to deal with any serious HR complaints.
