...whilst on a public engagement must have either a) a screw loose or b) major exhibistionistic tendencies?

She has clearly made a policy of eschewing hem weights.

She knew she would be getting into a helicopter.

It looks like she is commando, although I suppose there is the possibility of a dental floss g-string.

I'm just Shock

Or even cares?

SirChenjin · 29/05/2014 19:59

Eh??! I live in Scotland and have never heard that until recently when DH told me he'd read somewhere that the cabin crew say that!!

WowserBowser · 29/05/2014 20:10

Well thanks to this thread, I've now seen Kate's bits (and for equality purposes) Prince Charles and William's willy wonkers.

Thanks Fide

Dh & I are Scottish & he often says "you for coffee?" as Youfuckoffy (joke)

FidelineandFumblin · 29/05/2014 20:15

Hmm. Well hopefully I'll live long enough to make an even greater contribution to human civilization.

coffeeinbed · 29/05/2014 20:20

Puzzledandpissedoff · 29/05/2014 20:36

... would have to get past the ginger hair in Crown Jewels region

OMG stop it, STOP IT!!!!!! I've just eaten .... !!!!!!

SuperFlyHigh · 29/05/2014 21:19

gertie but Zara doesn't matter as though she's in line or whatever it is to the throne it's highly unlikely she'll rule.

Di or whoever else married Charles, had to be fertile.

ChelsyHandy · 29/05/2014 21:25

Fideline Well if she is a brood mare, she was an extremely willing one

Absolutely. Some brood mares who are very keen actually lift their tails to the side and stick their bottoms in male horse's faces to indicate their willingness.

I therefore conclude Kate is very, very keen indeed. And wants the whole world to know it. Repeatedly.

TheFairyCaravan · 29/05/2014 21:44

I reckon the Duchess is a fan of www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2641859/Is-end-VPL-Miraculous-STRAPLESS-G-string-adheres-skin-let-nearly-commando.html! (It's a DM link, sorry!)

FidelineandFumblin · 29/05/2014 21:54

Chelsy Really?

You would want to be waxed to wear that.

FidelineandFumblin · 29/05/2014 22:00

Err yes you might have a point - be more of a jaunty muff hat otherwise Blush

FidelineandFumblin · 29/05/2014 22:01

Knowing my luck the adhesive would fail and the bloody thing would fall on the floor! Grin

annielouise · 29/05/2014 22:52

Kate seems a bit brittle today. I also think it looks like something sewn in the hem so maybe something has been said.

Onesleeptillwembley · 29/05/2014 23:00

Gertie
I know trolley dolly is a fond nickname to themselves and to most people (ime experience).
Please tell your daughter that saying 'trolley girl' would not, 99% of the time would not be derogatory. It's just short for 'the girl (also works for woman, man, boy) with the trolley'. Think 'taxman', especially since so many are women. That could be taken the same way. But it isn't. It's an totally not made up word Englishism.

ExcuseTypos · 29/05/2014 23:06

OneSleep why don't you try using the term "trolley dolly" when your next on a plane- just see how you get onSmile

Onesleeptillwembley · 29/05/2014 23:09

I address them by name. It's manners. The term is descriptive. Not to use to address.

FidelineandFumblin · 29/05/2014 23:13

Bloody hell. If I called someone a trolley dolly and got away with only a hot coffee in the lap, I'd be sure to thank them.

SirChenjin · 30/05/2014 08:07

In what 1980s-inspired parallel universe is trolley dolly or trolley girl not a derogatory descriptive term?!

TiggyD · 30/05/2014 08:12

Maybe she's doing it on purpose? Maybe she's an exhibitionist?

oldgrandmama · 30/05/2014 08:29

That strapless G-string thingie ... similar ones have been around for ages, used by models in swimwear, lingerie shoots, to avoid the dreaded 'camel toe' effect. A friend used to be a glamour photographer, and they were certainly used in the 1970s.

FidelineandFumblin · 30/05/2014 08:37

oldgrandmama are you a knicker historian? you should be. You could publish a coffee table book with photos and anecdotes. It would do so well in the Christmas market.
