Not the man wearing one, obviously they are all individuals and sexy in their own right and their mothers love them But the whole look, especially when taken to extremes of irony. Is it a thing like dungarees or Uggs for women, that people do for comfort and lack of hassle, and don't care what the opposite sex thinks? Or is there a total PHWOAR factor that I am missing?

It looks bloody stupid.

My husband has a beard, but he's not a hipster. Am I allowed to find him sexy?! Each to their own

What's a hipster beard?

I love beards. Big, bushy beards. There's something about a massive beard that vastly improves a man's attractiveness. A clean-shaven Michael Fassbender, yeah he's alright. With a beard, instant hotness.

Every bloke in London looks like Tsar Nicolas II. It's fucking bizarre ( and not sexy)

I'm clearly out of date. I had visions of women in hipsters with their pubes crawling out of their trousers, threatening to escape...

Ick no. But I do like a bit of (well groomed) stubble.

I think it's the combination of things: the bushy beard, the undercut overstyled hair, the dad slip on loafers with no socks and the rolled up chinos in tan/mustard/sludge that I hate.

I tend not to lol but ... lol @ Tsar Nicholas II.

It's not a look to which I am partial. It must work on some women, though. Or perhaps there will be a huge dip in the birth-rate? (Especially in London.) And people will talk of the "Tsar Nicholas II dip".

I love the Tsar Nick look. Phwoar. DH has a fab beard too, but trims it when it gets much beyond stubble

Hipster Beards

I would just call them lazy, untrimmed hedges of beards, but there you go!

My DH has a full beard, but he keeps it relatively close. Think Patrick Grant from Sewing Bee (who I actually think he is trying to be, bless him) rather than Jase Roberston of Duck Dynasty (who I think is really rather hot under all that chin hair )

THE TSAR! Exactly! I saw a man on the tube the other day who had actually waxed the corners of his.

(This is deeply, deeply wrong, but I have also noticed that where it used to be the province of very young, thin, handsome men, it's now crept up to 30+, 13 stone+ men, and some of them even have GREY IN THEIR HIPSTER BEARDS.)

On a positive note, it makes the great London Transport game "Nutter or Hipster?" much more challenging.
