to wonder whether anyone actually finds hipster beards sexy?

Not the man wearing one, obviously they are all individuals and sexy in their own right and their mothers love them But the whole look, especially when taken to extremes of irony. Is it a thing like dungarees or Uggs for women, that people do for comfort and lack of hassle, and don't care what the opposite sex thinks? Or is there a total PHWOAR factor that I am missing?

I love a good beard! DHs entire face sprouts a beard so he neatens it up, too neat is unattractive though imo. It has to be on a rough hairy bloke who doesn’t have more cosmetics than me.

Love a good bearded man- DH has patchy facial hair at best, so he just sticks with the stubble look which works for him. Unless a guy has a face chiseled out of stone I think they look better with a bit of facial hair.

Back hair however gives me the gags.

My son has one of these, without the top lip. Looks daft, but he's nineteen, with green hair and multiple piercings. Up to him, I guess.

Dh is bearded and has sexy tattooed arms. He wears fisherman's jumpers and takes me to stay in log cabins and chops firewood with a worn old axe. He also loves animals and babies, for some reason the beard makes this even more endearing.

Love stubble and a nice neat beard, less pushed on the big bushy variety but tbh, would probably still pick it over clean shaven.

It depends what suits them. I think a lot of young, pretty men really suit their facial hair. Certain slebs look much better with a bit of stubble/beardage too (come on down Robert Downey Jnr and Tom Hiddleston).

Don't mind stubble, but beards creep me out. Perhaps it's my age (45), but I will always associate beards with Noel Edmonds and the Yorkshire Ripper! I am glad I am old and married. There are SO many young bearded men in London these days - if I was young and still dating I'd be getting no action

dh has had a beard since xmas, it's closely trimmed though, not a hipster one, i don't mind dh's but am not keen on this hipster style blokes seem to be adopting atm. am hoping it's just a fad like the low slug trouser/underpants hanging out the back thing.

DH has stuck with a goatee. I was a bit alarmed when he started growing it, but realised it actually made him look rather hot (he also has long hair) and it was nicer to kiss than stubble, so long as he didn't tickle my nose.

And the reason he's stuck with his goatee (ginger with white patches) is the fact that hair doesn't grow on his cheeks. He has no sideburns at all!
