So handy, so comfortable, so versatile, so good at hiding a multitude of sins........ Sad

Since when, I'm in trouble then....

ThatBloodyWoman · 11/05/2014 13:10

They are if you've got a bum like mine.

MammaTJ · 11/05/2014 13:10

They are the best look when you have a bum like mine.

Bunbaker · 11/05/2014 13:11

Looking cool is dressing for your shape, not being a fashion victim.

Chocotrekkie · 11/05/2014 13:12

I think it is the best look I have.. Unless you count long tunic over thick leggings as a separate thing ?

What are we supposed to be wearing - flowery dresses that I can't get my boobs in with tights thrush and heels no way

Or jeans with a short top which ride up and my manky tummy falls out of

KaFayOLay · 11/05/2014 13:13

Were they ever?

Maybe it's a regional thing, not seen any people wearing that combo where I live.

BitterAndOnlySlightlyTwisted · 11/05/2014 13:13

I am the owner of that multitude of sins, have a number of natty tunic-type tops and shall be wearing them again this summer. I'm old enough to not care about whether it's a cool look or not, thank God

rocketjam · 11/05/2014 13:15

Not in my world they are not out of fashion! But I also really love the loose blouses they are everywhere, Next has a really good selection! My problem is my middle and loose blouses really work.

EyelinerQueen · 11/05/2014 13:15

Well I don't think anyone could claim it was ever a "cool" look could they?

It's comfort over style. A lot of people prioritise comfort.

Summerbreezing · 11/05/2014 13:18

Long floaty tunic over skinny jeans finished with clunky flip flops. Seriously cool in an elegant understated way.

Sleepyhoglet · 11/05/2014 13:23

That's white stuff screwed then!

catgirl1976 · 11/05/2014 13:24

Cool no longer matters to me

Covering arse, muffin top and tops of thighs is now top priority when dressing.

:(

I should probably get my flabby arse over to the low carb boot camp threads.

Joules68 · 11/05/2014 13:24

Skinny jeans, yes, but it's the boot cut ones which look odd. Or flared ones

Pipbin · 11/05/2014 13:27

I don't give a rats if it's not 'cool' any more. I shall wear what I like, not what other people like.
Anyway, if it isn't 'cool' then why are places like White Stuff and Seasalt still selling it?

ICanSeeTheSun · 11/05/2014 13:30

At the moment I am sat freezing in a dress and heels, wishing I had a tunic top and leggings with ankle boots.

usuallysuspect · 11/05/2014 13:30

I bought a great Sea Salt tunic thing in the Chazza shop for £3.

I'm going to wear it over Skinny jeans whether it's cool or not.

Lottapianos · 11/05/2014 13:32

Well balls to that. Who cares what's cool? Wear what you like and what you feel good in. I'm wearing a tunic and leggings today - haven't been bothered by the fashion police so far!

TequilaMockingbirdy · 11/05/2014 13:34

They've never been cool here, just always a 'mumsy' look.

Beavie · 11/05/2014 13:35

Sat here wearing a white stuff tunic and leggings.

Maybe it's not cool but my bovvered box is empty I'm afraid.

TequilaMockingbirdy · 11/05/2014 13:35

But sod what's cool. Wear what you want. I know I do!

TequilaMockingbirdy · 11/05/2014 13:36

Why is White Stuff seen as a cool brand Confused

FloozeyLoozey · 11/05/2014 13:36

That look has never been cool or in fashion, but it depends whether you give a shit about that or not! At my size (18) everything looks hideous, so I just dress for comfort.

usuallysuspect · 11/05/2014 13:38

I'm nearly 55, I've long since not given a toss about looking cool.

aquashiv · 11/05/2014 13:38

Hell will freeze over before a crop top over camel toe appears on my persons.

Bunbaker · 11/05/2014 13:43

What kind of person really cares about looking "cool" apart from teenagers?

I am 55 and want to look stylish, not "cool".
