It is a pretty working class street, some council, some privately owned houses. Not sure if that is relevant but WHY the fuck would you advertise the fact that you are a fuckwit? All of the people with the notices up are older people - older than me, which is 43 (im not older!!!! - ok, maybe a bit).

Its pretty worrying really that what i would normally see as very respectable folk have been sucked in by this bullshit?

This is a conservative ward, and although dissilussioned with the previous gov i have always voted labour - i am going to have to vote bloody tory in a half beat effort to keep Ukip out of the area :(

My DD lives in a town with a ukip counsellor - its fucking dire and getting worse :(

OP posts:

And how exactly will UKIP fix that? They've got no policies..!

I'm sure they'll find some Grin

Scarletohello · 10/05/2014 18:54

Oh dear I didn't realise MN had turned into the Daily Mail...

I will vote UKIP on May 6

Longfingernails, do feel free to do so. And encourage all your fellow UKIP voters to vote that day.

(whispers) Don't tell her, anyone. Grin

GoblinLittleOwl · 10/05/2014 18:57

Gosh! You don't give up, do you?

funnyossity · 10/05/2014 18:58

OP you would be wise to try and develop a bit more respect for your fellow voters: the world will be a better place without the need for a change of government. Win-win!

Retropear · 10/05/2014 19:02

Don't move down my way,they're everywhere.Grin

Roseformeplease · 10/05/2014 19:02

I don't like an number of political parties and my blood is boiling currently with the Fuckwit Salmond and his band of Nats.

But, I would defend to the moon and back people's right to display the posters if a political party and vote for who the hell they want. Thank goodness we live somewhere where we are offered this freedom.

BeyondRepair · 10/05/2014 19:02

believed in freedom of speech then become an judgemental rabid leftie who believes no one should have an different opinion to them

I am shocked by the way some Labour supporters sort of hold themselves up as the good guys....perhaps Liberal too...and viciously shout down and attack and ram, the word racist down any ones throat who dares to object to any part of what they say. They could be talking to their own kind....

The irony is they just don't get that being so bloody minded, and vicious is the very reason why people turn to parties they feel listen.

On threads to do with politics on MN its always the Proud Left Leaning who so devastatingly charge through threads attacking people let right and centre....as someone pointed out the cunt epithet from OP earlier.

I sort of turn off after a while, and puts me in the mind of Kim of Korea, smashing his enemies down.

ExcuseTypos · 10/05/2014 19:03

Why should anyone respect people who vote for a racist, homophobic, mysoginistic partyConfused

longfingernails · 10/05/2014 19:04

Icimoi Wow, that was a bad mistake! Though I guess technically I could technically vote on May 6 using a postal vote (though I have never and will never use a postal vote).

BeyondRepair · 10/05/2014 19:05

I don't really like seeing any political posters up on houses. I'm not sure why - it always seems a bit fanatical perhaps but that's a personal opinion because there aren't any parties I agree with so totally that I would parade their logo around and publically proclaim my support of them

Yes agree ^ .

StarGazeyPond · 10/05/2014 19:06

Why should anyone respect people who vote for a racist, homophobic, mysoginistic party

I am sure the Labour Party won't appreciate you saying this ^^ !!

funnyossity · 10/05/2014 19:07

Because many people would be voting to leave the EU. People need to accept the fact that everyone gets a vote regardless of how much they actually follow politics. Very few people will read all the manifestos. We may not agree with how our neighbours vote but we don't need to automatically despise them.

StarGazeyPond · 10/05/2014 19:09

Print this out......and put it through their door

And I hope they 'do' you for harassment if you are caught!

Scarletohello · 10/05/2014 19:09

I still can't get over why someone would proudly proclaim that they want to support a party that are ' openly and honestly racist'. WTAF????

BeyondRepair · 10/05/2014 19:11

We may not agree with how our neighbours vote but we don't need to automatically despise them

Some people, some people think we do....like people reporting on each other in socialist states, child reporting on parents, people ratting each other out and so on...

aquashiv · 10/05/2014 19:13

Good. This is democracy if this is what people think then let m support them.
I'm very p r o Europe and love a multi cultural Britain yetthere is a need for a balanced view of nationalism without all the little Britain racist undertones.

ExcuseTypos · 10/05/2014 19:14

Thanks for that link Icimoi.

And it's not harassment to put something through someone's letter box Star

StarGazeyPond · 10/05/2014 19:16

It is ExcuseTypos if you are openly being antagonistic - which you would be.

BoneyBackJefferson · 10/05/2014 19:26

Re poosting StarGazeyPond's post

"Hitler didn't get into power by protest votes against other parties. Read your history."

If the parties of the time had not ignored the population things could have been very different, The politicians or our time need to learn the same thing.

The Lincoln's saying is right "of the people, for the people, by the people"

BeyondRepair · 10/05/2014 19:32

Oh Yes Hitler - we all know is diabolical but its always Hitler trotted out by lefties...as if their (our) historical slate is clean...

AllDirections · 10/05/2014 19:32

YANBU OP I've noticed lots of posters in windows where I live and I'm thinking Hmm because as Scarletohello points out these people are not going to benefit if UKIP gets in. I don't think they know who or what they're voting for, they just want someone to blame and it's easy to blame immigrants for all their woes. There can't be any worry about immigrants 'taking our jobs' because it's not at all multicultural here.

Why judge? Well because UKIP for some reason seem to blame he current economicosition on hardworking immigrants who came here to do jobs Brits don't want in order to make a better life for their families. Why on earth they think that's caused anything when it was clearly the bankers is beyond me. I find it terrifying when a political party starts rising to power on the back of hatred towards a particular minority group.

"we have too many immigrants coming here and doing nothing but expecting housing and benefits, we haven't got the money or the room to support our own people never mind everyone else who wants to come here"

Do you have any statistics to back that up or just a copy of last Tuesday's Daily Mail and a UKIP flyer?

I was listening to Any Questions on R4 last night, and according to it, the majority of immigrants coming into Britain, are young, eastern europeans, working hard at jobs no one here wants to do, paying their tax and NI, yet not overly burdening the system by using health care or schooling or other local services, yet they are contributing to our economy. The benefits tourists are very much in the minority, yet UKIP and The Fail and all those benefits bashing programmes that have been on TV recently have convinced people that they are everywhere, taking our jobs and using up our hard paid for services and keeping our children out of the best schools. I work in an zero hours contract industry with a high percentage of Eastern Europeans. They work 60-70 hours a week and all live in private rented accommodation. The British workers only want to work 16 hours a weeks, as any more means their benefits will be cut. Who, exactly, has a higher expectation of benefits and housing? Hmm

LEM can I suggest an addition to your list... D) All of the Above.
