With a brush. Dh wanted to do it with a roller. I've done 3 walls out of 5.. He is now kicking off with me. Who is bu here?

Me and dp have this argument every time paint is mentioned. I prefer a brush, it doesn't splatter paint back at you, and I'd rather see brush strokes than the roller finish. He prefers a roller because it's faster.

Use a paint pad! Much better finish

I use a paint pad. Joules speaks sense. Quick and no discernible marks on the wall when the paint dries.

Because my painter and decorator happens to be a man Joules. I don't know what sex the painters and decorators available to the OP are.

I prefer a brush as well.. rollers are a pain in the arse. Luckily I do all the decorating, the husband isn't interested in it and couldn't give a toss how I do it

although there's really no point in painting in artificial light.. you'll only end up having to do another coat tomorrow.

No I'm with Indigo. It's not OF. It's Have...but YANBU. I painted the whole of my children's bedroom with a brush. If you want it done, you do it yourself...you did and now your DH is annoyed. Tough...he should have got in first if he wanted to control it.

paint pads use a ton of paint more than you would usually.. I can't get on with them either. Brushes are better.. rollers are faster but messier.
