You have to be clever to know the difference between the usage of 'have' and 'of'? Golly gosh,
that bar is set pretty low, then.

Ziggyzoom · 18/04/2014 23:54

None taken. Grin

Is it usual? I thought it was about grammar and who is clever and who is not. Painting you say? Confused

I think paint pads are definitely the best way to paint walls. They're incredibly quick, even on textured or uneven surfaces, and obviously there are no brush marks to worry about. I don't like rollers and only use a brush for cutting in.

Bettercallsaul1 · 19/04/2014 00:02

usual - Do you now have an extra "t" at the end of you name?

Bettercallsaul1 · 19/04/2014 00:03

Sorry, "your"!

Ziggyzoom · 19/04/2014 00:05

It's to lure in unsuspecting pedants!

nonmifairidere · 19/04/2014 00:05

I want to know how you have 5 walls in a bathroom ?

Bettercallsaul1 · 19/04/2014 00:10

Just wondered if there were two posters with similar names - didn't notice two "t"s before.

I'm guessing five walls come from a boxed in boiler, or some sort of inbuilt cupboard...

Joules68 · 19/04/2014 01:17

Is 5th wall the ceiling?

zobey · 19/04/2014 09:04

Can not belive people feel the need to correct me. The bathroom is a weird shape so it's got two big is walls and 3 smallish walls ie be hinde the toilet and above the door

Colour is a very light mint green colour as the flooring has that colour in it.

I prefer a roller myself, I quite like the feel of the little droplets landing on my arm but that probably makes me a bit odd. I agree though that you choose your own weapon and no one else can complain unless you are producing a really bad finish

I did the first coat on dd bedroom yesterday, hoping to get second and third done today. Good luck with the bathroom zobey.

Mrswellyboot · 19/04/2014 09:21

Our Pinter is a woman, she's fantastic (expensive however, hence DIY at the moment)

I painted the whole patio the other day with a brush :)

Mrswellyboot · 19/04/2014 09:21

Painter

randomAXEofkindness · 19/04/2014 09:25

It a good job they let you know your mistake though isn't it zobey? You feel grateful that they've bestowed you with their devine wisdom don't you? And you're never going to make that mistake again are you?

Thank fuck for pedantic ignorant fucking arseholes on mn.

OwlCapone · 19/04/2014 09:27

I get just as bored of the people whining about grammar pendants.

OwlCapone · 19/04/2014 09:28

Awkward spaces are often easier to paint with a brush. Sometimes I go over with a dry roller to remove the brush strokes though.

OwlCapone · 19/04/2014 09:28

Paint pads are crap.
