To wonder just how much rent you people are paying?

I often see posters commenting on how much rent they are paying to live in nice areas/near good schools etc. and I can't help but wonder how much you are all paying!

I am lucky that I live in a Housing Association house, and that I live in the North where rents seem to be cheaper.

My rent is £420 a month for a 2 bedroom house - how much is yours?

£590 3 bed farm cottage on a farm in Scotland

NurseyWursey · 09/04/2014 13:50

I have a large 2 bedroom open plan apartment, it's in a good area, facing a lovely school and a church. It's £395 private rent - an absolute steal

WhateverLover · 09/04/2014 13:50

£750 for a 1 bedroom flat in Surrey Sad

NCISaddict · 09/04/2014 13:51

OutOfCheeseError · 09/04/2014 13:52

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 09/04/2014 13:53

£500 per month, 2 bedroom house in Merseyside.

shakethetree · 09/04/2014 13:53

£1750 a month.

But that's a mortgage not rent, although rent would be about the same.

lubeybooby · 09/04/2014 13:53

£495 large 2 bed leicestershire

NurseyWursey · 09/04/2014 13:53

Jesus I am seriously seriously lucky.

We even have a car park.

It's not the best town on the whole but... wow.

OldVikingDudeHidMyTubeSocks · 09/04/2014 13:55

I get £400 for the ridiculously large 2 bed flat I own. (In the midlands)

(and can you tell I miss the kitchen? Grin)

WheresRyder · 09/04/2014 13:57

£1000 (about to rise to £1100) a month for a 3 bed semi in Berkshire. That's pretty reasonable to, all the ones coming onto the market now are about £1200, but have newer kitchens/bathrooms etc.

FelixFelix · 09/04/2014 13:57

£395 per month for a 2 bed back to back terraced in Leeds. Just moved from a huge 2 bed city centre flat with parking and balcony which was £825 per month.

Charlieboo30 · 09/04/2014 13:58

£300 a month for a two bed cottage in North Yorkshire. We actually live in a very expensive area but rent from a friend of the family. The house isn't great - the kitchen is circa 1980 and the bathroom is horrible, plus no parking but we are extremely lucky.

neverhasbeen · 09/04/2014 13:59

£520 a month for 2 bed council flat, central London. Not a 'naice' area but close to zone 1 tube and school catchments aren't an issue as dd has a statement.

Parkergirl · 09/04/2014 13:59

675 for a decent sized 3 bed terrace in York. Relatively cheap as we don't have road access. Similar properties go for approx 800 pcm.

Edenviolet · 09/04/2014 14:00

£504 a month for a 3 bed council house in nw london

thornrose · 09/04/2014 14:02

£695 for a two bed flat with a garden, 2 minutes from the sea in SE!

gamerchick · 09/04/2014 14:04

Around the 420 mark for 4 bed house.

misog2000 · 09/04/2014 14:04

£800 PCM for a 3 bed terrace in a dodgy area in the SE. The same house in a nice area would be £1000

£475 per month, standard 2 bed terrace in North Wales.

Nice enough house with a little garden but the fire hasn't worked since I moved in, there's no hot water in the kitchen and my gutters have been in my front garden for over a year.

Still, my LL hasn't raised my rent in over 7 years so I can't complain.

SomethingProfound · 09/04/2014 14:07

550 for a two bed house with a garden and drive in salford, but it is right on the cusp of Manchester City center, but am very lucky as the rent has not gone up in five years.
